Release the other names... unfair to A-Rod and The Yanks... Love to see the media's reaction if a certain former back up 1st baseman for the Minnesota twins... if it were (is) true... steroids will probably become okay

Pete:

How about weighing in on Bud Selig's interview in today's USA TODAY. How can he even CONSIDER suspending A-Rod without suspending the other 103 players who tested positive (in what were supposed to be ANONYMOUS tests)? I think he's just posturing, knowing that he has no legal basis to suspend anyone who tested positive prior to the MLB rules changes on steroid use. This man has no shame when it comes to protecting his "good" name.

In defense of the guys questioning Cash today, you can't kill them for today's line of questioning.

Its natural that these would be the questions the first time everybody has a chance to see him since this stuff hit.

Can't kill the media for that.

Now, if its March 21, and he isn't getting baseball questions, then folks have a right to complain.

Today? Its understandable this is the line of questioning right now.

Personally, my interest in who did steroids is decreasing exponetially with each passing day.

I saw the Tejada statement last night. You almost feel sorry for the guy. And I'm really not a fan of his at all.

It's like the coverage has been so intense that it's bending my reactions in the opposite direction.

How funny is this, SI posting the Joba comments and article from the NY Post today using an AP photo...... of the fake Joba under the violations bureau.

Its really all he and the Yankees can do.

One thing we seem to know.

Arod hasn't flunked any tests as a Yankee.

Hopefully, it stays that way.

Randy, from the other thread.....

I agree with you re: Novitsky. He's run a rouge investigation from the get go. Its amazing to me he has gotten away with as much as he has gotten away with.

Some of the "reporting" on this from ESPN, the Daily News and the NY Times read more like talking points from his office than actual reporting.

That's why I think somebody in his office (if not himself) is one of the leakers in the Arod case.

Despite all of it, what's he got? Millions spent, Victor Conte on a minor charge that gave him house arrest, and a fledgling purjury cases involving Bonds.

If Clemens wasn't so dumb, he would never be in the jackpot he is in today. It was of his own making and not of any quality work done by Novitsky.

As far as Arod/crisis team/Roberts comments, you can coach your client until you are blue in the face. Sometimes, regardless of how you coach them, they go off message.

Happens all the time in my biz.

Guys with big egos always seem to talk themselves into more trouble than the original trouble they get themselves into.

Its the hazzards of the professional.

That's why we charge so much for our services! lol
