I understand how you feel, believe me. I have had moments where I wanted ARod off the team. He seems programmed to make it as hard as humanly possible to like him.

But we’re in fantasy land when we believe it’s possible or desirable to trade him.

Bottom line, we trade ARod and eat his over $100 million of his salary, we’re still left without a third baseman. ARod is far and away the best 3B in the league. Anyone who replaces him would be a huge step down and could easily keep us out of the playoffs.

The Yankees have to live with the mistake they made when they give ARod his new contract. At least ARod is really good at what he does for a living. If he helps bring us another championship, it will be a lot easier for us to forget about all the stupid things if he does. If he doesn’t, we’ll all think he’s a loser no matter what.

Good response, I’m a fan of sarcasm. A-Rod isn’t as non-clutch as I thought, I’ll admit that. And the Alex Gordon example was just that – an example. Obviously I’d want more than that. But I still think his production is not worth all the non-baseball issues. I guess we’ll to agree to disagree …
