Mickey Rivers – one of my all-time favorites. I loved the way he’d walk up to the plate like a 90 year old and then blaze around the bases. Pete: how’s he doing?

Girardi’s job will not be saved if Alex apologizes…puts up MVP numbers…hits .450 with 4 homers in the 1st round but the Yanks lose .

All Alex has to do when he arrives at camp is apologize in person…(phone apologies are for the weak) and tell Joe G he will play his heart out for the team.

Girardi will be judged by his record this year…as will Alex…and deservedly so.

Pat M, not many remember Kubek as anything but a shortstop, but, for the first half of his career, he played SS, 2B, 3B, but a lot of LF, but a lot of CF, too when Mantle was hurt. Boyer also played a lot of SS. How many people besides you and me remember than the CF in 1967 and 1968 was JOE PEPITONE?

Hector Lopez, wow, there is a name from my childhood. Haven’t thought about him in years. If I remember right, a great utility guy. Played alot in left field, though I could be wrong. Brought back that feeling I used to get as a kid listening to my transistor under the pillow so my folks wouldn’t bust me. Thanks.
