".....because of a bone spur on top of his collarbone."

-------------------------------------------------------

Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse Me!
I may be wrong, but all this talk has been about 'shoulder surgery'. I don't think it is an apt term if we on talking about a bone spur on his collar bone. Shoulder surgery usually has terrible connotations, usually meaning structural damage that directly affects how you throw. A collarbone bone spur is no fun... but am I wrong in thinking this is NOT near as bad as what we think about when we hear 'shoulder surgery'?????

Unless injuries get him, I think Rivera has a few more years left. He still looks good out there on the field.

That is good news. Wow - 103 pounds. Scary.

Good article on Mariano. He is, indeed, irreplaceable.

Bob Sheppard was on WFAN with Ed Randell this morning. Said he was down to 103 pounds, and his doctors wouldn't let him return to work until he was at 145 pounds and had stamina. Today, he says he's at 145 1/2 and has two months to work on the stamina.

He sounded optimistic!

Haha, that Mo line reminds me of Lord of the Rings.

There will be a day when the courage of men fails... etc... but it is not this day!
