Yankees will hit the field in about an hour

The Yankees will be on the field around 10:30 today. Those in the bullpen will include CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett and Joba Chamberlain.

Back later with some observations and lousy iPhone photos. I wish it had a zoom.

(Yes, I know they’re lousy. I’m not a photographer; I don’t even own a camera. I’m just having some fun as I wander around.)

    Pete -

I like your photographs – they’re just like the ones I have of baseball games we’ve gone to. You can’t tell who anyone is, but you remember how much fun it was to be there!

Enjoy today – tomorrow’s going to be hell on earth for everyone associated with the Yankees. Well, maybe not hell, maybe pergatory. :)

    Umm – purgatory.

The home opener is exactly two month from today…and still not a word about single-game ticket sales!

Heck, they’re still relocating the 41-game ticket plans, and haven’t started on the smaller ones. Let’s go!

Single game tickets went on sale feb 28th I believe last year. Maybe 29th if it was a leap year. They should announce sometime soon when they go on sale this year

Yankees to announce individual games will go on sale July 4th, 2009

Pete, I like your pictures. I am hungry for good-old baseball. Seeing sunny skies, a green ballfield, baseball players doing ANYTHING, works for me. Keep it up, thanks.

Pete. The pics are great. Keep them coming!

Pete, 100 bucks can get you a camera with a halfway decent zoom that would be 1000 times better than the pictures you can take with that IPhone. Isn’t there a Wal-Mart nearby?

    Pete

Your lousy pictures are better to look at than the wall in front of my desk. Keep ‘em coming please!

Your pictures suck, but I’ve gotten over that. Now I’m just grateful we’re getting anything at all. Keep them coming, they’re appreciated even if we all wish you had a zoom.

    Thanks.

Pete, you don’t own a camera? I thought every person under the sun owned a camera these days. That being said, thanks for the pictures that you do take… but I’d invest in a digital camera – and it doesn’t have to be one of the super expensive ones, the cheaper ones work just fine :)

complaining about Pete’s pics is like walking into the homeless free soup kitchen and complaining about not getting filet mignon.

Keep them coming Pete. We come here for thoughts and words. The pics are an added bonus.

The Journal-News obviously doesn’t provide a photographer for Peter like other NYC newspapers do. Another economy related thing.

Great pics, Pete. I’d rather be reading AND seeing baseball — especially this time of year.
