Pete — you forgot to add having Gaylord Perry sitting next to him as his special guest and saying to everyone, “Yes, I did steroids, I am sorry for cheating … but didnt Gaylord Perry spend his entire career cheating by throwing a spit ball? Go ask him some quesions now about how he has smeared the sanctity of the game”.

I mean, if Arod is going to be made out to be some sacrificial lamb at this point, why not have baseball air all of its dirty laundry … cheating has been going since nearly the first day the game was organized.

Isnt there a double standard going on here?

I am sick of all these holier than thou writers, asking for an apology from A-rod.

I want an apology from you.

If sports reporters had done their job 15 years ago, we might not be in this mess.

To all sports writers reading this blog you are just as much to blame for the steroid era as the Union, MLB, the players and Bud Selig.

Yes there is a blood test for HGH which is why the MLBPA is fighting blood testing. Of course the Libertarian in me is opposed to randon mandatory drug testing in all areas except public safety.

He can hire a lab in the open and submit to testing and it would be credible if he got the results the same time everyone else does. I wouldn’t do it, but if he’s looking for rehabilitation it might help.
