Here’s A-Rod fielding grounders on Field 2. He was with Justin Leone, who has never had his photo taken so many times.

I don’t know if anybody cares, but the Trenton Thunder are giving kids 12 and under free food at every home game.

if anything, it gives me even more incentive to bring my niece and nephew to more AA games.

i just hope arod does not put too much pressure on himself to prove he can put up numbers.his personality might not help him in this situation.

man browsed the tabloids. NY sports writers are even dumber then I thought. The fake outrage and other BS is staggering.

these guys have nothing better to do since they can’t argue about the food in the press box for a few weeks..

Arod could never satisfy there fake outrage… Lupica, madden, curry, harper, etc.. these guys are all buffoons…

give it a rest all ready…………..

  14. Tom February 18th, 2009 at 12:38 pm

Is Lupica going to give back the money he made from the book he wrote about the HR chase of ’98 and how it saved the game?

  15. SJ44 February 18th, 2009 at 12:47 pm

    Stuart,

    Its kind of funny actually.

Front page of the NY Times, Stanford Financial scams folks in an over 9 BILLION dollar Ponzi Scheme.

That means, within the last 3-4 months, two men, Madoff and Stanford, have scammed people out of over 24 BILLION dollars.

These guys have busted out individuals, companies, pension programs, charities, etc.

Yet, I’m supposed get worked up over a baseball player taking steroids.

    Perpsective people, perspective.

good one Tom…you always hear about the media saying otherwise about players if they make money from something that was a lie or whatever, and they should either return the money or give it to charity. Lupica is an idiot!

What is that stadium in the background ?

  18. stuart February 18th, 2009 at 2:05 pm

Sj $24 bill you mean $58 bill.. Think about it, the GM payroll is probably less then $10 bill a yr. for present workers, they stole enough money to pay 200,000 employees for 5 years.

You have Joel Sherman yesterday trying to show how smart he is, this is baseball. Alex is not a rhodes scholar, is that hard to believe???

Was he lieing, why did he not tell us the name of his cousin and on and on and on… Let it rest fake outraged sportswriting buffoons…This is not the buildup to the Iraq war, the fight over medicare or some real issue.

This is a overpaid great baseball player trying to get a leg up on overpaid baseball players.. I think they call it cheating, WOW people cheat.

    New to society cheating…

the thing that is outrageous again is who are the 103 others caught with this test, let alone hundreds who never got caught…

Wow – there’s a Mariner blast from the past :-)
I didn’t realize he had ended up in the Yankee system…

I remember Justin’s home Mariner debut, mostly because of what happened on the next night. He hit a home run to left field that hit an ad sign in the exact same spot as his homer the night before.
