Amen to that, I am beyond sick of all this steroid talk. Let’s get to some real baseball!

A ban on steroid conversation tomorrow would be fabulous.

    Great idea, my friend.

As far as I’m concerned, the issue is over. We can talk about this again when he is coming up on Hammerin Hank.

    PLAY BALL!!!!

Pete: 2nd best Bruce reference headline (CC’s “Change was made up town…” is still #1) but certainly the most accurate & funniest!

    NongEyeJon:

Calm down, Sally. I’ve been posting photo with Springsteen lyrics as titles all week. Just having some fun.

I don’t think Griffey signing with the Mariners is going to really influence what the Yanks do with Nady or Swisher.

Atlanta wants the Yanks to pay a significant portion of his salary and Cashman certainly isn’t going to give ‘em away unless it makes a lot of sense.

I still believe Nady and Swisher will both be in pinstripes on Opening Day. At this point, it makes more sense to keep them.

Off Topic question: partial season tickets

I just happened to check my account online and saw that I had been assigned a new plan for 2009 but was never notified via email or postal mail.

I had been a Saturday plan ticket holder for 5 years and was hoping to get the same plan…however it appears that I’ve been assigned a 12 game weekday plan. Any other partial plan holders out there with a similar experience?

    Peter:
I’m not a huge Springstein admirer, but just finished listening to his “Working On a Dream ” album. His voice is now “Dylanesqe”, as are many of the album cuts. I came from a much earlier music genre which spawned the Legendary Big “O”, Roy Orbison, my all-time favorite R&R-Era ballad singer. As you probably know, Bruce was a huge admirer of Orbison. His “Working On A Dream” and “Tomorrow Never Knows” have the Big O’s signature all over them. These two are very fine song efforts by The Boss!
    And now, back to Bezball!

    Easy on Pete…

He’s just trying to make a living,
trying to have a little fun

With the issue of Matsui’s knees in question I think the teams needs both Swisher and Nady and would be foolish to trade either one at this point unless you got something back that would help THIS year.

    56Bomber,
“Any other partial plan holders out there with a similar experience?”

Unfortunately, there are many of us in the same boat tonight as you.

Me too – the greed is out in full force. The thing is, the stadium was going to sell out for the year anyway so they didn’t need to screw the existing partial plan holders. In fact, the cost for season tickets is discounted from the partial plan price, so the team will actually realize less money. I hope to see lots of empty $350 seats on camera this year.
