UHH GUYS NOT. TO JUST BE MEAN TOWARDS AROD BUT DOESENT HE LOOK SMALLER I KNOO PETE’S PICS AREN’T THE BEST BUT FROM WHAT I’VE SEEN IN ALL HIS PICS THIS OFF SEASON HE LOOKS SMALLER ..Hey maybe he just lost weight due to his new eating habits with his new religion …but maybe not …but who cares lol
Well, NO, as a matter of fact I don’t think ARod looks smaller. As a matter of fact, when I got the chance to see a part of the press conference, I thought to myself, wow – that guy has incredibly broad shoulders in street clothes.
Is it just me, or does Alex look like he’s checking out his shadow?
Of course the Pete haters will say it was another subtle Arod dig – Pete could have taken that pic from a different direction…. but nooooo… it’s always a “game of shadows” with Alex!
Is that ARod’s shadow or is that Selena Roberts’ shadow as she leaps from the stands? If you look at it carefully I think it’s Selena and I think she has a knife.
Soemone has to stop the madness, this chick is out of control. If the police won’t do anything about it then Jeter has to step up.
on that subject, before the first blown call of the season id like to say i think that major league umpieres do an awesome job.
there are always going to be blown calls but i a amazed at how accurate they are. id say at least 85% of the time on the tightest of bang-bang plays, the stop action and super slowmotion show them to be correct. i think its pretty remarkable really.
the calling of balls and strikes continues to depend to some extent on each guy’s opinion of what the rulebook means, but standards have been set and are being adhered to much better than say 10 years ago but still needs improvemet. but this isnt the ump’s fault altogether, even though some of the old timer’s cling to thier right to personally interpret the zone.
overall these guys are great.
it has to be humiliating to them the way the can be scrutinized by omnipresent lenses surrounding them they have to make tight calls while dirt and bats and catchers mitts fly around them, and they do a great job overall.
now we’re gonna stop the game to embarrass them with more scrutiny. next thing you know we’ll be having them wear helmet cams so we can humiliate them with the actual sight they saw when their judgement was off on one play in the last 22 hundred plays and show it on the jumbotron for thier further humilation.
these guys are professional and extremly good at what they do and they deserve our appreciation.
Yes Bru, we remember. Unfortunately, he lied to the Yankees from the outset. gave them every indication he intended to sign if the money was right. Then when the time came to get down to negotiations, he changed his mind and said he was going to college. Can’t blame the Yanks for that one. Hopefully, in another 3 years, they get another shot at him.
Ham Fighters, I’ll be the first to admit that on way more than one out of 2200 plays did I want to smack a ref. I still remember a play a year or 2 ago where I believe Cano tagged someone on the opposing team out at 2nd and they originally called him safe. Even though he was 10 feet away from the bag when he fully stopped sliding.
A B52 bomber must have been between the ref and the action.
Looking good !
Finally some on field stuff! . .Thanks Pete !
Nice pictures!
I love the pictures! I can’t wait for the season to begin..
Pete
Lovin the individual shots. Thanks

LET’S PLAY BALLLL
That iPhone camera is getting better, Pete.
Play ball!
the whole stadium must’ve ‘cycled-off’ then, cause it all looks small to me.
Ahhhh, nice weather.
Justin

this isnt p.c. but it IS funny:
the sign outside the umps locker room at dodger stadium:

no offense to our sight-impaired fellows.
Keep the pics coming!
Ham – I think it is ok to offend umpires

are Saturday and Sundays practices starting around 11am also or later, anyone know?
What can Jeter do? Tell her to stop writing a book about him? lol
There isn’t anything Jeter, or anybody else for that matter, can do.
Only Alex can fix Alex. If he does what he said yesterday he wants to do, it won’t be a problem.

BA ranked gerrit cole the top freshman in the nation,we all remember him.
catcher’s masks sorry
but blind ump jokes are still funny
SJ,
Jeter needs to have his back. Safety first, man.
Look at the picture of ARod and Justin Leone. That dude is getting it done. JL is saying to himself; “Not on my watch, Selena. Not on my watch.”

Jeter and A-Rod let their dicks swing in the same locker room and they hate each other!
