CC Sabathia will not pitch today. Dave Eiland said he wasn’t feeling well. “Stomach thing,” he said.

No other details needed. Thanks anyway.

Maybe he had too much of that Mtn Dew soda yesterday!

  4. Betsy February 21st, 2009 at 12:19 pm

Aww, poor CC. That stomach thing is nasty – 1/2 the people in my office got it. Feel better, CC!

I’m looking forward to hearing about AJ’s BP – I wonder who he’s facing today? Whomever it is, I don’t envy them, lol.

Are they rolling balls on the top of the wall for Johnny Damon drills?

There’s a stomach thing going around the Tampa area–the Devils were there two nights ago and some of them were really sick.

““Stomach thing,” he said. No other details needed. ”

Heh that’s code for “hung over”

I wonder how much Sabathia has to drink to get drunk. Probably a few gallons of beer.

I heard from an undisclosed source that he actually threw his back out trying to help Wang up after Wang tripped and sprained his ankle.

A stomach thing for CC is a big problem. Spatially. ;)

Meanwhile, I am still trying to decide what to do with the ticket plan the Yankees offered my friend and me. Weeknight games, while not impossible for us, are more difficult; unlike some, we still have to work for a living. This may sound silly, but I can’t stop thinking about us and the many others who have had the rug pulled out.

We’re going to go over it tomorrow night over Chinese take-out and a few beers.

Many Yankee fans would experience stomach problems if something bad happened to CC.

  12. Buddy Biancalana February 21st, 2009 at 12:54 pm

    Joe-

Are you guaranteed any playoff games with that package?

  13. gayle February 21st, 2009 at 12:57 pm

The only packages that you get for sure the same seats is the full season or the 41 all others you get pre sale before they go on sale to the general public but no promises of postseason tickets.

I have always been able to gt the tickets i want in the post season but that could be because in the post season I only buy single tickets and my seats have been fantastic each year.

I finally got my Friday plan relocation letter. I went from behind 3rd base (216) upper reserve row 4 to “terrace” 306 near the right foul pole row 2.

Not a bad seat but you can’t see right field wall and the scoreboard is a sort of behind me.

Oh and the price is double what I paid last year.

  19. DT February 21st, 2009 at 1:34 pm

    Nice try Don Vito.

You are a little early for April Fool’s Day.

    You almost got me

  21. Andrew February 21st, 2009 at 1:44 pm

    Bronx Jeers,

Did you get that letter via email or standard mail. I had the Friday plan last year as well sitting in left field. I wrote an email to the relocation@yankees.com email address but haven’t received a reply. Starting to get antsy. How much did your package end up being?

  22. Drive 4-5 February 21st, 2009 at 2:11 pm

    Andrew,

What is your seniority date? If it’s less than 3 years old you could get shut out. It’s terrible how they’ve handled this.

  23. JonMichel February 21st, 2009 at 2:24 pm

The stomach virus must be hitting the Yankees now its that time of the year.

    Feel better CC

  25. BL February 21st, 2009 at 2:39 pm

    Sick of the Yankees already?

  26. FLM February 21st, 2009 at 2:50 pm

I’m debating whether to accept my seat location or enter the pool process. I got main section 230, Row 23, seats 9-10 on the 12 game weeknight plan. It appears very close to that picture of the giant white beam that’s been floating around recently. Talked to Yankee Rep who said my view is not obstructed…cant say I trust what he said at all..$1700 is alot of $$ to stare at a beam every game…anyone have any thoughts?

  27. Russell NY February 21st, 2009 at 3:59 pm

CC is a slacker. This just proves it. It also proves that he is abandoning his weight watchers diet and yielding to food once again. This is the downfall of CC. We didn’t think it would be so soon.

Of course I am just kidding :)
