So Kay was/is actually positive? He told us AROD's career was essentially over last week. Probably b/c he's down in Tampa, if he's doing the show from SF... I'm sure he doesn't want to be too negative...any more details?

Edwar's injury may not be a precursor to surgery, but it is troubling that the condition is still persisting after a winter's worth of rest.

Not trying to be cold or anything, but Eddie's injury may make Girardi's decision easier. It could also improve the bullpen because it opens up the door for a higher-ceiling guy.

I know everyone wants to reward Eddie for a good year last year, but did anyone ever have total confidence when you saw him come into a game? It was all or nothing with him. Strike out or moonshot. You can only fool major leaguers for so long, the less exposure Eddie gets at the Yankee's expense the better.

If Kay's open didn't get you pumped up, I don't know what will. That was awesome. He didn't tell us anything we didn't hear already (about how great the guys are meshing and how happy everyone is), but he did give some great details and just further confirmed how different this clubhouse is.

R-Tek, I'm listening to Kay - how great was that opening? I'm tempted to call him and tell him that it ISN'T just him ,that there IS a different vibe about this team - and fans can feel it. There is just a buzz on all the message boards I visit....Something magical is in the air - this isn't just a fun team ,this is a really GOOD team. I love how Bruney was bored, so he just popped on over to AJ's house and they went fishing. These guys actually like each other and want to hang out with each other - I'm giddy right now. The only thing that worries me is injuries - Edwar's arm is very concerning to me - but I'm going to try not to let that drag me down.

The best news is that, per Kay, Mo feesl GREAT. Apparently his arm had been bothering him for 2 years, and now he can't believe how good it feels now. I can't believe Mo has done what he's done with an aching arm...

I'm on hold for Kay now, lol.
