Pretty much. I think Cashman already knows the 25 man roster. But the 40-man is still being decided. Also, if there is a deal in the works, it would involve one of those guys. So the Yanks are making sure they get enough exposure.

Burnett is our #3 starter—the trouble is when people try to make him more than that to justify his price tag. He is a middle of the rotation starter who has the stuff capable to pitch with anyone but isin’t consistent and is injury prone.

He was the best of the 2nd tier bunch (Lowe, an injured Sheets, Perez, Garland etc.) so we had no choice but to sign him.
