CC and Joba take a ride

There are some photos you just have to post.

Here are CC Sabathia and Joba Chamberlain riding the Toy Story Mania 3-D ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Sunday.

They were on hand for ESPN The Weekend. Joba, by the way, again this year invited a family from Nebraska along for the trip and paid all their expenses.

    lol great picture

  2. Betsy

Those are great pics – thanks for posting!

I’m still annoyed at Disney for getting rid of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride – that was one of my favs. I haven’t been since before Test Track opened, so I need to go and check that (as well as the Rock N Roller coaster and the Mt. Everest rides) out. I really don’t love MGM because I am not a movie person; my favorite park by far is the Magic Kingdom. I still love Mickey and I just think it’s the most child-like park…….I consider myself a big child, so there you have it. I also adore EPCOT – boy, I need to go back again.

Man, I wish someone would take me to Disney World and pay for all my expenses!

  4. arthg

To your comments about Yuri Sucart, Pete, under your last post. What would I call Yuri? The same thing I would call Bill Belichick, a cheater.

  5. Doe

Why are you not condemning this blatant publicity stunt?

    Zero credibility.

  6. Nick

    How is Yuri a cheater?

It’s A-Rod who is the cheater… Yuri is the drug dealer.

  7. Chris

They were on baseball tonight yesterday talking with Gammons and someone else I forget, probably Karl Ravech. I wouldn’t call this a publicity stunt since they were already there and who could turn down a ride without having to wait in line. Especially the Toy Story ride.

    LOL at Jorge “threatening” Jetes…….

Wang and Posada- more good news. Those are the best and most important things to take from today’s game.

Phil tomorrow against a monster lineup – I’m crossing my fingers he does well (even though it doesn’t matter). This will be on YES tomorrow – should be classic, Jeter against his old and new teammate. I hope we win, lol

  9. Can't Stand Ya

    Joba/CC BFF

  10. Betsy

I hope we can try and move on…………….?

  11. arthg

You help a someone cheat, you’re a cheater.

As a “drug smuggler,” Yuri would also be a criminal. If anyone thinks that William Belichick has not committed a crime, and just not been caught, you’re fooling yourself.

  12. ARIZZ

Bellichick didn’t cheat, he taped defensive signals which don’t tell you anything.

A-Rod on the otherhand, used PEDs to try and outperform his peers on the field.

  13. Pel

    Pffft…typical PR gimmick.

CC and Joba are media starved attention wh0res.

  14. Betsy

I think CC is BFF with everyone – he was friends with Joba before signing with the Yanks and also friends with Jeter…….

  15. Peter Abraham

    Arth:

Good analogy, comparing federal drug crimes to copying videotape. Belichick committed a crime? What crime would that be exactly?

The crime is you’re allowed access to the internet.

  16. Tom

Joba and CC seem to really enjoy being Joba and CC.

  17. arthg

    Pete,

Are you attacking the messenger? The crime would be conspiracy to defraud the NFL.

  18. Pel

    @ARIZZ:

when the tapes are -swept under the rug- disposed of immediately by Goodell, and the Cheatriots were penalized for it, one tends to think that clearly the signals told you a lot, and solidified the fact that, yes, it was cheating.

  19. Almonte

I’m so happy we have Joba on the team. Amazing how quickly has has grown up… he has become a team leader already and was recruiting guys as a 23 yr old.

  20. Al

CC, Joba, and Swisher…. man, they are going to have fun together.

  21. Tom

Lets not bring the –19-0– 18-1 Patriots into this.

  22. yankeefan91 Arod fan

another pic of arod with one of his daughter

  23. arthg

    ARIZZ,

Alex used steroids, which didnt necessarily help him, the same way “the tapes didnt help William” and the Patriots steal “trade secrets” and defraud the NFL.

  24. Bronx Jeers

Don’t those rides have some sort of size/weight limit?

I wouldn’t want to put my kids in that car after those two were on it! They probably broke a bunch of bolts or something.

  25. Slumdog

Don’t bring up Pete’s beloved Patriots. Rather a sore subject since that perfect season and 4th Super Bowl slipped away. No playoffs last year, and now getting fleeced by the Chiefs for Cassel and Vrabel. Gotta love it.

  26. Peter Abraham

The 34th overall pick for an aging LB with a big contract and a QB they had no use for? Yeah, we got fleeced.

Read Peter KIng today for some education.

  27. arthg

    Slumdog,

I wont bring up the Pats anymore. I’m just going to use HGH like Roidney Harrison because they will make me hit hard enough to help my team win.

  28. saucY

Cassel will do terrible next year. mark my words.

  29. Scorpio

These pics are pretty funny. They must have been separated at birth. Loving CC fun attitude.

  30. Sid

Why are people comparing A-Rod to the Patriots?

The Pats have won 3 rings, been to 4 SBs….whereas Arod has not won anything

  31. Lori

This is my absolute favorite ride at Disney — it is totally interactive and just leaves you laughing. I am so into CC and Joba enjoying the ride – like two kids. I hope they keep that attitude throughout the season. Will certainly keep good team chemistry.

  32. Tom

More importantly, the Pats saved 18 or so million bucks in the deal.

The 34th pick, plus 18 million in cap relief is not a bad deal.

  33. teddy

pats made a good trade, jump the gun though, could gotton more from den

  34. Brad Pitt's better-looking brother

I hear CC did all the shooting on that ride for the first 7/9ths of the time before running out of ammo and then Joba took over in the eighth.

  35. Distd

Regardless of how old you are… you got to love Disney. Such a magical place to be

  36. DocBooch

I watched that 30 teams in 30 days piece on the Yankees last week and they showed Joba and CC walking to the field from the club house. Joba looks like he really idolizes CC. Hopefully, his success rubs off on him…..just not his post season record. ;)

  37. teddy

the pats cheated though, arod cheated too. pats only nfl team in history to be lose a draft pick. to be fair they were likely others teams that taped as well. arod has 3 mvp and 500 homers at 32

  38. arthg

Good point Sid, Steroids did not help Alex because he’s never won anything.

On the other hand, the cheating was the direct cause of 3 Super Bowl victories.

By the way Sid, nobody was comparing Alex to the Patriots. I was comparing cheater A to cheater B, criminal A to criminal B.

  39. you gotta have faith (bronx zoo 2009)

    lol i love those guys

  40. saucY

since we’re talking football, what are the chances the Giants draft Kenny Britt?

  41. Tom

Why do spring training highlights on ESPN look like bootleg concert footage?

  42. Slumdog

Cassel was still a valuable commodity whether Brady was coming back or not. They’ll miss Vrabel whether you want to admit it or not. I don’t know what Peter King said, but I do know that most pundits felt KC got a steal, and Patriots fans over at Boston.com were lamenting this trade.

  43. teddy

lets call it fair, arod doesn’t need roids to hit, pats didn’t need spygate to win. pats scouting and decsion making is awesome

  44. Rishi

    about Team USA:

And let’s just say there are some, uh, natural barriers to that bonding. The Phillies’ Jimmy Rolins, for instance, reported that when he got to his locker, he found the Mets’ David Wright stationed just two lockers over. Luckily for them, the man in between them turned out to be their own personal U.N. peacekeeper.

“Sure enough, [Derek] Jeter comes in, gets to his locker and says, `They put me in between you two? Huh? Peace,’ ” Rollins laughed. “And that kind of broke the ice right there. So that’s why he’s the captain.”

  45. Uncle Ellsworth

    Jeter is the Man.

  46. Slumdog

The thing is all three of those Pat’s Super Bowl wins were so close that filming other teams preparations for games might just possibly have been the difference. Meanwhile, if Pete defended ARod as vigorously as he defends the Patriots, he’d have a lot fewer unhappy campers around here complaining about his ARod bashing.

  47. Slumdog

    Tom,
Of that 18 mil., about 14.5 was due to Cassel because the Pats slapped the franchise tag on him. Bad move.

  48. Doreen

That is the coolest, coolest ride in Disney World! We went on it in November. It’s unbelievable. Trisha, if you’re here. If you go to Disney and don’t like rides, there’s a lot to do at the Disney Studios which is where this ride is. It is the best.

And CC and Joba look like they’re having at least as good as time as my family and I did! Can’t wait to show this pic to my husband.

    :)

  49. Doreen

Except – they’re supposed to be wearing 3D glasses!

  50. Doreen

Well, I shoulda scrolled down to the second pic. Silly me.

  51. Doreen

And I will never get over how SMALL Joba looks next to CC!

  52. Jason

Honestly, people, you’re going to criticize CC and Joba for going on a ride at Disney? Some of us harboring some pent-up emotions? Get a life, people.
