I’m so tired of Yankee Fans and the New York Media making Jeter so un-touchable. He is not perfect! Many of you know the Jeter-ERA is just about over and I say thank god. I’m so tired of Jeter’s phony BS..ever wonder why he fights so hard to be so private..what is he really hiding? and yet Alex is wrong for saying he would like to play with a exciting player like Reyes? I wish Jose was leading off for our team too. He is better than Damon and younger with more range than Jeter. Give the guy a break! Yes he says stuff that makes me shake my head at times but so what.I like that about him he is NOT JETER and that is a GOOD thing..Jeter is so boring and lame…and i’m sick of this Alex v. Derek..but Alex is the better player with or without “Boli” and certainly a better SS than Jeter and Reyes combined so get over it.

Arod does not have a way with words. If he had said “Jose is a great young player” it would have been ok.

I would trade Arod for Wright.
I would trade Reyes for Cano. I know this is wishful thinking considering the money involved and the no trade clause.

The Mets absolutely love f-ups like Alex, so I’m not sure they wouldn’t go for it. Especially with some cash thrown in.

You would think that will all the advisors a-rod has at least one of them would tell him to think before he speaks. I highly doubt this was a swipe at Jeter and Reyes is a great player but he should know by now that everything he says and does gets dissected and analyzed and talked about everywhere. And why all the hating on Pete? We all know he doesnt like A-Rod, but hes not alone and it is his job to report whats going on with the Yankees. Obviously a huge ordeal will be made about this and I’m sure if he never mentioned it people would be wondering why. I would take David Wright in a heartbeat over A-Rod. Its too bad it will never happen. Omar Minya isnt that stupid.

Right on, Steve. I’ve emailed other members of the media about this very thing — how it is [i]they[/i], not he, who are making Alex the story. And when Haters and IDIOT NYY “fans” buy into it — and BOO THEIR OWN PLAYER — it just creates this vicious, destructive circle.

Of course, Ham is a Hater and a Pats/Sox fan. So he has a vested interest in sowing as much discord as possible — not only because it helps the Yanks lose, but also because it increases readership.

It’s just mindblowing how many of you IDIOT NYY “fans” can’t see through it and somehow think you’re helping your team by booing and hating certain Yankees. Morons.

Didn’t jeter say he wanted Sabathia on his team after facing him in a game last year? Was he taking a shot at one of the then-current yankee starters?
