I think most of these suggestions for 3rd baseman are stop gaps, (Rolen,Mora,Grez,Blalock etc…)which is fine but why not get someone that can help after ARod gets back not just when he is gone. I think the Yankees should come up with a trade for Chone Figgins, he gives u speed, good bad and a great glove in multiple positions. If Gardner or Melky don’t work out, u can plug him into the CF spot or just use him off the bench for a pinch hitter or a pinch runner late in games when u need someone to steal a bag and have some speed.

I’d like to have Figgins but I doubt his price would be cheap. Same with Martin Prado. A guy with a sweet glove and speed would be my preference.

i wouldnt mind havin figgins on the yanks if he can get on base and steal bags and clutch hittin by the yanks it wouldnt be that bad

Grudz will be 39 this June and has played 3b only 31 games in his entire career.

If Rolen does ok, they can eat half of his contract next offseason and trade him for an OF (which they’ll need).

You are looking for a perfect fit. There isn’t one.

Rolen, IMO, is the best one out there all things considered.

I’m personally holding out hope that Alex can play this season though.

Angelos is not going to help us out by giving us Mora.

And what exactly are we supposed to do with Scott Rolen once A-Rod comes back? He has another yr left on his deal and a horrible contract so we can’t just get rid of him. He gets disgruntled very easily, he won;t be happy with a bench role.
