I look at this problem as a direct result of not developing players. If Eric Duncan lived up to his billing as a first round pick, he’d be primed for a chance right now.

i do like swisher’s flexibility. teixeira could go down. you never know. swisher backs up several positions including dh. i did not like betemit who was a cashman favorite and failure with the yankees. so let’s i’ll give it to cashman that he replaced one of his duds with someone who makes sense and is worth the gamble.

now if he did that more than once in a blue moon we’d have something.
