Mariano Rivera looked great in his first outing of the spring. It was a good night for CC Sabathia and Jorge Posada, too.

Jose Tabata has no regrets that he was traded to the Pirates. This notebook also has updates on Damaso Marte and Kei Igawa.

Can’t blame him for that. He could be an instant starter with them. Here, who knows…
Lots of opportunity in the “other league” for those on the cusp in the AL.

Tabata was a big cry baby when playing for Trenton

Carrying over from the other thread it’s interesting to note that the “most clutch 3B in NY” has a career OPS with RISP of .895. The “other” 3B in NY has a .957 RISP for his career.

Last season the “most clutch” guy had a pitiful .703 OPS with RISP. While the “other” 3B in one of his worst seasons was .863.

    Just sayin’

Off-topic question but what’s with the new:

Click on the headline for the rest of this blog post

As this makes the blog one giant pain in the backside to read as this site loads slower than most ?

I believe a player’s comfort level has an impact on his chances for success. It wasn’t just Tabata’s numbers for the Yankees that were troubling. There were other issues, as well. I wish him well with the Pirates.

Still am not sold on Igawa. Would like to see what he does when he is not facing the scrubs.

Who would answer that the last minute of the basekball game is the most annoying because it takes 20 minutes?

The rest of the game is annoying and pointless. It’s only the last 5 minutes that are any interesting.
