Mons is great but they don’t have a DJ, only a jukebox that the girls have to keep feeding with dollars that they get on stage. Weird.

Pete, I’ll be in Orlando next week if you want to meet up at Mons. Any chance you can get a couple spare tickets to the game against the Braves at Disney? I’ll buy them from you.

If you happen to stop by Mons, say hi to Tasha for me. There’s nothing that you can’t get on Dale Mabry Blvd. SuperBowl – check. NY Yankees – check. Strippers – check and then some.

The Angels are going to need to reload a bit next season with one of the weaker free agent classes in a while.

Free agent Angels next offseason:

Lacky
Vlad Guerrero
Figgins
Abreu

A large % of their roster includes arbitration eligible guys – I’m not sure if any of them will be FA as well.

The Angels reign might be coming to an end very soon.

The Tampa Bay Area is boring and kind of ghetto. Downtown Tampa is nice but much of the area is a collection of strip clubs, Whataburgers, and just general rundowniness. I would like to go to Yankees spring training but that just means I would have to go to Tampa again.

And someone posted this earlier but I agree that the New York fetish for Florida is bizarre. Hurricanes, excess humidity, bugs. Arizona is a lot better. Too bad Arizona is too far for the Yankees to do spring training.

Lackey may have the Angels over a barrel right now, though. With Santana maybe having surgery (elbow medial collateral ligament sprain) and Escabar having surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder (not expected back before June), LA can’t afford to lose Lackey, too.
