When in need of flavor and given the choice between a Bud and some water, the water wins every time. Haven't had one of those awful brews in probably a decade. "Anything but" is my refrain....

Everyone continues to ask about beer. As far back as I can remember yes Bud has always been the leader at the Stadium. However they've always sold Coors, Miller, etc throughout the concourse and seating areas. I'm sure most people will be able to find a beer they like. The good news is that the bleachers cafe will provide beer. Just finish it before sitting back down... hahah forcing people to drink faster should cause them to become even more intoxicated.

Of course it's Budweiser. I hope you all know, Bud and Bud Light water down their beer at the stadium to 3.2% in order to make extra money.

Stick to the microbrews who refuse to allow that to happen to their beers.

Double-digit wins doesn't always mean a lot. 10-12 wins out of 30 starts isn't so good. If you look at his numbers, he clearly belongs in the NL. But I will say this for him, standing up to Gibbons on the mount and in the dugout earned him points with me. He never appeared to me like someone who have backbone.

One of my favorite things this spring listening to games on radio is the beer vendor getting under Sterling's skin yelling "Here Beer, Beer Here. Cold Beer."

I hope he's coming north.

For what it's worth re: Lilly, and to avoid marginalizing him as an NL-only success story, he posted 4 straight double-digit win seasons on mediocre Toronto teams facing the AL East the majority of the time. Just sayin'

Ted Lilly is a solid pitcher, but the NL only. He'll win 16-17 games for the Cubbies, IMHO.
