Melky is out of options. If he is the odd man out, they need to try to trade him. If they could pass him through waivers, that’s an entirely different story.

I don’t think they should keep him on the roster along with Gardner and Nady/Swisher for a very long time. It’s not the end of the world if they do but when ARod gets back they’d probably have to make a move.

No really, I feel sorry for those fans. Instead of watching some good plays by both teams, they got to watch BP by CC. I’d be torqued no end. Cincy has some very nice young players that I’d like to see. Jacques Jones batting 093 in spring training. Hey what a challenge.

doesn’t gardner have to do something in the regular season for an extended period before melky is jettisoned?
the red sox kept coco crisp around while ellsbury got some experience. that seems a better way to go .

and gardner may totally bomb. he’s not exactly a can’t miss prospect.
