i really haven’t been on a train, except a NJ transit to bernardsville a few years ago. (and unless you cound the subway, which i don’t). it’s amazing how much you can see that you could never see from a car. that trip though jersey was beautiful. sure beats the interstates to bernardsville…

again…again. “on the field” this is a good thing. He helps the team. If Cody goes (1-12) in the tampa series, yankee fans will be begging for arod to come back.

I almost hate getting Alex news, even great news like this, because it brings out the worst in some people.

In any case, I know Alex wants to return as soon as possible, but I hope he’s not pushing it. The Yankees have got to err on the side of caution. That said, it’s fantastic that he’s feeling so good.

Forget mid-May. Alex Rodriguez is showing signs that he is going to return to the Yankees well before that.

Hitting coach Kevin Long, who speaks daily with A-Rod, told The Post that Rodriguez has begun to hit and reported that he “feels 70 percent.”

A Yankee official told The Post that he thought the rehab was going so well, in fact, that if the organization wanted to it could have Rodriguez back on a major league field by late April.

Rodriguez remains in Colorado Springs rehabilitating from hip surgery. The plan is for him to head to the Yankees’ minor league complex in Tampa within the next 10 days to further step up his recovery program.
