Good post, GLove – nice summary. It’s hard for me to think about the positives after a game like this, so I appreciate you pointing out that there were quite a few.

Looking forward to AJ tomorrow – if he pitches well, everything will look better.

An odd start to the season throughout baseball. Almost all of the top starters have been knocked around, so far. Lee, Lincecum, Lester, Sabathia, Wang, Halliday, Verlander and on and on. That’s a good reason not to be concerned. Thinkg will get back to normal.

It was Mel Hall. He called Bernie, Bambi, and it took Mattingly to stick up for him to make it stop. Kelly did resent Bernie after he won the CF job.

A little harder to find positives about tonight.

Wang was horrid. I have faith he’ll get back on track, but man was he just bad tonight.

I understand the frustration because these first 2 games feel a lot like last season. Falling behind early. Going to the bullpen before the 5th. Playing catch up.

That was last season’s calling card.

Still, the team is fighting it’s way back.

Ransom just missed a game tying homer.

Cano, much to my surprise, looks very good at the plate.

Jeter hit a ball in the air and out of the park.

The pen tonight was excellent.

The starting pitching will straighten itself out, but man it makes me sick to lose a series to Baltimore to start the season.

These are the teams the Yankees should be bludgeoning and when they don’t, it’s seriously frustrating.

I’d like to see AJ play stopper tomorrow. Go out there with some swagger and pitch 7 innings.

He does that and the rest of the team will win the game.

This constantly spotting the team a few runs early in the game has to stop.

Cashman should talk with the Steinbrenners about a 50-player trade where we swap rosters, top to bottom, with Baltimore. Clearly they’re a far better team than the Titanic of a team we have, which one can only conclude after these two games is doomed for a pathetic 0-162 season. Where’s Carl Pavano we need hi … SNNNFFFFFF (deep inhale whiffing of smelling salts followed by violent bug-eyed head shaking) Wuh-wuh-wuh-wuh-woooo-ooooahhh … waitaminnit … sorry … sarcasm so overwhelming I passed out. I’ve seen harsher game threads. It’s a loooong season, and there will be 160 more opportunities. Opportunities for wins … not for more brutal game threads.

Gayle, I think that was Mel Hall that was horrible to Bernie…..not Kelly. I always liked Kelly and was sorry to see him go. Who knew about Paulie, though?

I don’t watch Centerstage at all because I’m not at all interested in celebrities. I figure this will be repeated a million times if I want to catch it, lol. Sorry to hear the first half wasn’t so hot……

Is anyone watching the Centerstage with Bernie. Horrible interview by Kay glossed over the whole first part of Bernie’s time in the Bronx. DIdnt ask him about Roberto Kelly and if it was true that he was horrible to him, glossed over so much thus far maybe the 2nd half will be better but so far nothing of interest or new
