    RussW210

At least score more than the world champions.

Let’s hope the Yanks make Uehara’s debut a forgettable one and that Wang has his sinker working. If not, I’ll be hosting a Jim Jones style midnight bash on the northern side of the Queensboro Bridge. Remember to pack your notes in a waterproof baggie!

Saturday standing on the field level concourse looking through the Great Hall I just stared at Yankee Stadium and thought, WHY!

I hope they get it down quickly.

Bronx it is going to be a very slow process. Every single bit that they think they can sell will be saved.

I am curious if they will find anything hidden behind walls, in hidden rooms etc.

I thought Jeter’s hair looked a little bit different

    Fran/Jennifer,

    From the other thread……

When I talk about the industry and its failings, that’s not a knock to Pete.

In fact, Pete was ahead of the curve with this blog and its given him great traction for his beat and for the newspaper.

I bet more eyeballs are onto the Journal News stories than if Pete never started this blog. That’s a positive for the newspaper.

If Pete worked at a bigger paper, the blog, and Pete by extension, would be even bigger and Pete would be talked about at the forefront of the “new media” world needed for newspapers to survive.

Instead, old, tired papers are left to doing business in an old and tired way. That’s why they won’t survive much longer.

Its where the industry is headed. Which is why I spend much less time reading or caring about what the media says about the Yankees.

Just show me the games and all is well.

just wondering ( and im surprised there isnt a blog about it on here yet) whats the general consensus on what joba said when he was arrested?

  14. SJ44 April 8th, 2009 at 10:27 am

The general consensus is, “who cares”.

Its 5 months ago, the case has been adjudicated, and its a non-story.

  15. jennifer April 8th, 2009 at 10:29 am

That this is not the tmz blog.

  16. riyankee42 April 8th, 2009 at 10:32 am

i feel the same way, but i am an out of state fan. but we all know the media is gonna blow it up and hes gonna more than likely get his share of boos ( esp if he pitches sub par). the way i look at it, it wasnt a dig at yankee fans, but drivers in general…. and the yogi comment WAS funny tho

  17. Harold April 8th, 2009 at 10:37 am

i bet it would be funny to talk about how small yogi is when you’re wasted, especially if you’re on the yankees and interact with yogi
