Tendinitis is a term that physicians use when they can’t figure out what’s wrong with someone. It’s probably just a little wrist soreness that will go away with time. If it was anything more serious, they’d get a precautionary MRI on it.
Hmmm. Tough choice. I would say sit Matsui, but he got on base today so maybe best to let him DH again. I would definitely rest Teixeira a little bit longer, we want him there for the Yankee opener and I would hate for this wrist thing to get worse.

GB, thanks for the updates. Great night for Jackson – I’m pulling for him not just because he’s our top position prospect, but because he’s apparently a great kid.
————————————————————
My pleasure, Betsy. The best thing with Jackson tonight was no strikouts.
I’m think of stopping the Lakers one. They update after every quarter and sometimes send “newsflashes” that aren’t really news.
I’ll dig up the # for the update on demand. Then you can use it when you’re not near the computer and you’ll stay under the limit.
GB7,
That Tejeda? He was a starter no
——————————————————————————————
Texas bounced him between the rotation and relief. He was originally a Phillie and they did the same thing. His issues were always walks and home runs. Great arm, though.
Does anyone know who is starting tomorrow for the Royals? If it is a right hander I would assume that is why they are comfortable with starting Teixiera as he stated he was noticing the pain when he was batting right-handed.

Thanks, GB. Remember that he and Padilla were the 2 bright spots for Texas pitching.
————————————————————
Yeah, they were supposed to slide in behind Millwood in the rotation. Tejeda just doesn’t have the stamina or the number of pitches to start. Still young, though. He’s only 27.
If treated early, tendonitis can improve quickly. Steroid injection or anti-inflammatory medications can be used in most cases. More serious tendonitis may require surgery.
If you experience symptoms, the first thing to do is to alter the activities which caused the symptoms and let the wrists rest and recover.
“last year Joba’s so called tendinitis forced him to miss a big chunk of the season.”
Joba is a young pitcher so of course. Tex is a switch hitter that can bat from his other side and let it heal. Plus Tex throws right so it won’t be affected there.
That is good news, GB. I’m sure Jackson will still have his moments, but all we are looking for throughout the season is progress.
Russell, thanks. I’m glad Tex decided not to play through it like so many players would. It doesn’t appear serious, though I would definitely give him a few days off.
I would guess they are waiting to figure out Swish for tomorrow until they know about Tex. I also think that Jorge probably has the day off tomorrow with a day game after a night game and taking it easy for him in April so that also may play into it.
itis= inflammation
Tendinitis= inflammation of a tendon
Usually caused by overuse following lack of use.
I had it in my elbow a couple times when I played in hs. It was unbelievably debilitating for me for a while but it can be worked through
Oh you have me the google number, I guess now it only works at the end of the game? I used to be able to text while the game was going on and get updates.
That can mean just about anything because there is no indication how serious it is- I was diagnosed with it 9 years ago and was told to take some time off from work and take some anti-inflammatory meds. Nine years later I still have it and need surgery to repair it- thankfully I no longer do manual labor for a living so it is just an annoyance. If they start sitting him against lefties all the time you know it hasn’t healed.
Did I ever tell anyone how much I hate ticketmaster? I don’t remember my password, so I reset it, and what they sent me doesn’t work. So I can’t check the status of an order.
Ya ticket master sucks. The “convenience fee” makes me so damn mad. Then an extra charge for etickets, which has to cost them less to provide. It’s extra that the fees are per ticket not order. A great big “screw you! No, screw you twice!”
On positive note, Swish is looking like a beast at the plate. He has to stay in the lineup. That trade is looking pretty good right now.
So I guess that is good news?
Good news?

I guess he just slept on it wrong?
Okay, I can live with that if Mark can. As long as nothing’s wrong with the sheath or whatever Ortiz had.
i guess swisher will be in the outfield?
Tendinitis eh day to day injury he’ll live.
giving damon a day off before going to tampa would be best, keep the hot hand going wish swish
I thought tendinitis was Yankee code for something bad.
sounds like a hairline fracture.
Tendonitis always sounds bad – is this something that can just be cured with rest?
Joe said he is day to day, than said our plan is to play him tomorrow. than said we’ll see how he is tomorrow. UGH Joe.
Kelly Leak: Where in the hell did u get Hairline fracture from?
He will survive
GRR wouldn’t commit to playing Swish tomorrow. damn you Joe.
last year Joba’s so called tendinitis forced him to miss a big chunk of the season.
A couple of Tylenol to deal with inflamation and he’s good to go.
Last 3 games 1.35 starting era.
Hmmm. Tough choice. I would say sit Matsui, but he got on base today so maybe best to let him DH again. I would definitely rest Teixeira a little bit longer, we want him there for the Yankee opener and I would hate for this wrist thing to get worse.
Maybe Johnny gets his rest tomorrow.

Johnny’s funny. Said it took Nick a long to get to third, hopefully that doesn’t mean we do more conditioning next spring.
I guess he also forgot he doesn’t have a contract through next year with the Yankees.

Give Teix another day off… we need him right handed against Kazmir on Monday more than we need him tomorrow.
Gil Meche.
Menche starts.
m- Any luck with text message number.
Gil Meche is starting for KC, tomorrow.

I’ll go look for it now. What did you mean by it only gives you addresses now?
I think I’d prefer that Tex not play tomorrow as he could aggravate the injury diving for balls, etc….
thanks guys.
m- I used to be able to text New York Yankees score to google. and I would get the yankees score. Now all I get is street addresses.
let swish play first and tex dh

I’m an idiot. Please ignore me. I like to make things up and stuff like that. If you pay attention to me, you’re only feeding the troll.

Joba might not have it tomorrow. Hasn’t pitched in a while.
Do I just text score?
He pitched a minor league game the other day.
Oooh. It worked. I just found out the Yankees won 6-1!

“New york yankees score” worked for me. In the middle of a game, it’ll show the line score.

jennifer,
So in the middle of the game it doesn’t show the line score? Just gives you the address, so you have to go the game to find out the score?

Nobody’s stupid enough to want to be you….some adult that idolizes a 12 year old. They were making fun of you.
Tex is an Iron Man he’ll be playing if he is allowed I could even tell today that he was squirming on the bench.
that diagnosis doesnt tell much but the fact that he’s playing tomorrow is a great sign.
tendonitis can last months or days. i guess in this case it’s days.

Before Ransom’s error, we were the only team in the majors to not make an error.
And the Andy/Mo win/save combo (56) is 1 away from tying Eckersly/Welch (57).

oh, that lmgtfy was a joke?

I am going to hit the roof. I just called the automated number and it doesn’t recognize my order number. Of course no one is there!!
