Joba Chamberlain did his part but the bullpen did not do theirs as the Yankees let a win get away in Kansas City.

Alex Rodriguez will be in Tampa today working out. Good news for Florida cougars. This notebook also has updates on Mark Teixeira’s injury and a long struggle for Melky Cabrera.

Should be even better for Joba Chamberlain and Tampa Bars.

By the way Pete, Im thinking of trading Brandon Marshall and a 2nd rounder for the expired rights of Troy Brown. Good deal?

Yankees will win it all this season but yesterday shows that we have some weak links.Ransom showed he can only hit fastballs and gardner has speed but absolutely no arm.

I love to read this blog but it’s weird to see only the good thinks about gardner are mentioned by Pete while his negative points never get mentioned(going back and his weak arm)..

    Roger:

Gardner is positioned by the coaches. And is arm is actually average. He made a crappy throw yesterday with a wet ball.

Why are people so negative all the time? It’s just amazing.

again pete…I love this blog and I do think the yankees will win it all this season. But I do think that gardner is often mentioned in a positif note by you while his negativ point don’t get mentioned.I know you love his way of playing the game, and I do to,but he does have some weak points.

(very jealous of you’re job btw!and thanks for keeping me updated about the yankees from far far amsterdam)

“Rodriguez’s return can’t come soon enough for the Yankees.”

LOL, you can say that again, Bummy Ransom has been worse than I actually thought he would be, I didn’t expect him to do much but he hasn’t even done little, I was a major league pitcher I would throw Ransom nothing but breaking balls, guy couldn’t hit his way out of a sorority house and where is this great glove I heard he had. Color me unimpressed.

Bad news. On Tuesday, the Rays will be disributing those ludicrous cowbells with AL Championship logos to all fans.

LOL, oh boy, well at least AJ pitches that night, if it was Wang as per tonight, those things could have gotten real annoying with every ground ball base hit Wang is likely to give up. AJ at least will be whiffing some batters to keep them quiet.

    LMAO @ Florida cougars!
    Pete you’re the best!

they’ll have those dumb cowbells for every game; the most annoying sound ever……let’s get it going Wang!

The Yankees should not have any weak spots with that payroll.
Girardi must start “managing” the team…losing against KC was sad, better relief pitching is what the team needs.
Plus Arod and Posada and Matsui and Texeira etc.

Is it too late to trade for Mark Teahen?

    =====================================================

There’s a difference between being negative and acknowledging a deficiency.

You and some of your posters sometimes don’t bother to differentiate. You get into a strange “scold” mold, grouping everyone together. I’m not really sure what that is about.

But let’s see how Tampa responds to Gardner’s average arm. It is average – I agree. At close range, it isn’t bad, because he gets rid of it quickly and can make an accurate throw without worrying about long range drop in velocity.

But average arms don’t frighten anybody – and they don’t discourage anyone from taking the extra base.
