I travel to Panama quite often. I have seen many kids with Yankee caps not Boston caps. The newspapers always praise the performances of Mo. He might not be a god but he is very well liked by his people.

So many people in Panama hates him because he forgot his country and his hometown, Puerto Caimito. The Panamanians thinks he is a “Payaso” (Clown) and he and the Yankees has enemies in all corners in Panama. It mean the Red Sox Nation is in Panama too. Nevertheless, there are many Panamanians Yankees fans. Not like in the past when Ramiro Mendoza and Ruben Rivera(Mo’s cousin) were playing with the bombers but I spect, 50% Yankees & 50% Red Sox in Panama.
