tex – i know they did it in tampa, and it’s definitely possible (i hope you’re right!). i was just pointing out how tough it is, even for a team that is mentally tough, to do it after a loss like last night. you’d always much rather get blown out then lose like that. had they lost 15-5 last night, you feel better about taking 2. it’s tough to bounce back from last night.

Well we are only 16 games into the season. Tough to say Girardi has hurt the pen already. Wang’s 1 inning starts can mess up the best laid plans.
Should the Yanks have had a long man? Absolutely.
It that Girardi’s fault or Cashman’s? (or a combo of both)
I dunno.

Over those 16 games, he has made a series of decisions that I question. The fact that it’s early means he can start making better ones, precluding any impact of the bad ones
on the rest of the season. Here’s hoping.

Girardi said on Francesa that they’re adding a long man.

I’m beginning to doubt just how much you enjoy being a Yankee fan, Ray. Seems like you’re heading for a fate worse than death….being a full-blown Red Sox fan.

We’ve tried and tried to guide you towards the light, but, I think that outside influences are pulling at you. I’m guessing that it’s the people you hang out with.

Me too. We have every reason to be. ARod is one thing we can’t overcome – we need him back. But the pitching depth, both SP and BP, is fantastic. Credit to Cashman.
