Pete,

Had I known you were going to park right next to my office, I would have left a key for you. Free coffee, soda and HDTV in our conference room. Look closely next time and you'll see my coworker's silent protest to our Fenway neighbors: a Cleveland Indians logo in the window.

The fallacy that Sabathia is always a slow starter is ridiculous. If you go back and look at his year by year by game numbers, he's had maybe 7 bad April games. He's had Aprils with 4 wins and 6 wins, and Aprils with 0 wins with games of allowing 0-2 runs. He's also had some ugly games like this year's but, not many. When they were ugly, they were really ugly. when the calendar turns to May, he gets hot.

Be careful and when you walk carry your keys in your hand so you are armed, that's what I do. Always good to be cautious.

I would have a black coffee and light snack. Nothing too heavy or it will put you to sleep.

Good luck Pete. ;)

Nick,

Someone who responded to my "rant" about people wishing they had one ounce of AJ's talent. He said "what? we should be jealous of Brown and some other (i guess) loser?"

My point is, if they're a Yankee support them. Don't call them gutless or losers or trash just because they didn't win the game. Wahhhhh. Poor Yankee baby fans didn't get their win. Wahhhhhh. Put the binky in your mouth and shut up.

Yes, I felt that I needed to stick up for my new favorite Yankee, and I apologize to you for insinuating that CC wasn't pulling his share of the load.

But I just about blew up when respected poster CB posted some, what I thought were angry and reactionary, criticisms of AJ. Talking about how he needed to step up because he's getting #1 pitcher money. Hello? What about the guy that's getting paid plus-#1 pitcher money? Why does CC continue to get a pass when he's pitched good in 1/4 of his starts and AJ gets reamed because we lost 1/4 of his starts?

CC's getting the ace money, and I agree with whomever said his slow starts are not an acceptable excuse. He's the one that needs to set the tone, not AJ.

So you can criticize AJ's performance, but why no open criticism of CC so far?

I was really hoping that the days of .500 baseball were not going to be seen this year, but it's the same old story. Poor hitting with runners in scoring position not getting people in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. Getting shut down by 5th starters.
Tomorrow is a new day, hopefully the Yanks can get back to playing some good baseball. Starters need to step up in this series or the Yankees are going to have to DL relievers with arm fatigue.
