Even Roberts is right. Beside Teixeira where has the offense improved?
It’s pretty much the same team/lineup as last year. Just a year older. I don’t expect Damon and Matsui back. And I pray they don’t sign Holliday.
No more long term contracts.
Great job on First Take this morning Pete. From reading your blog, I knew exactly how you were going to answer each question. Thanks again for the insight you bring on a daily (almost hourly…) basis.
If this team continues to flounder after the injury issues are over, the Steinbrenners will begin to show concern and it will be Cashman that hears about it first.

Saw it – you were solid. Were you taken aback at all at the inane Joba question? It seemed like you may have skipped half a beat as if you were trying to process just how stupid that query was and how sick you are (as are we all) of getting it.
First!
@Interior Hamburglar: Congratulations, you win nothing.
Who’s faster Pete, you or Posada?
I use ESPN2 as my background noise in the morning in my office so I’ll be listening. Say something smart and do us proud.
Best of luck Pete.
Plug Frank Catalanotto as a possible alternative for the Yankees bench/outfield – so Cashman gets a clue of whats readily available. Thanks

correction Brent, Interior Hamburglar wins the “idiot of the day” award! Yay!
Well done Pete despite failing to mention the need for a bench and an outfielder. I blame Dana for not asking the right questions.
Ya Pete Abe!

When Arod and Nady get back, we will have a good bench again.
Damon is banged up. Looks like he aggrevated the same shoulder when he crashed into the monster. Lets hope its not serious.
Swish is ok in right but is currently striking out at a breathtaking pace.
I don’t know who our starting CF is but I’m not thrilled with either option.
This OF is so mediocre it has us pining for Nady.

What year was it that Cash demanded full authority? Can he still duck blame for putting together this high-priced, completely flawed roster?
Can the GM be sent to AAA? He seems to be able to put together a pretty decent AAA squad. Major league roster? Not so much.
Hey Pete, can you post the video for those of us who still have a job? Thanks.
I second Gloria! Please post a video. I work too!
