I’ll give MO 1 more outing

If he blows a save this weekend, them it may be time to let Bruney become the closer and MO can work in long relief to get his velocity back up.

He simply cannot get outs throwing in the upper 80s.

One of the dumbest suggestions ive ever heard in my entire life. Yes lets replace our Hall of Fame closer.......

EVERYONE IS GETTING WAYYYYYY TOO UP IN ARMS ABOUT VELOCITY LOOK AT JOBA'S CAREER RECRD AND ERA, LOOOKS PRETTY DNG GOOD TO ME. ASK JAMIE MOYER ABOUT PITCHING WITHOUT A PLUS FASTBALL LAST TIME I CHECKED HE WAS DOING A PRETTY GOOD JOB FOR THE PHILLIES. GOOD LORD YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME WANNA PUNCH SOMETHING WITH ALL THE NEGATIVITY

You always say this term. What the hell does it mean?? What is a thought police?
..............................

OK, pal, here you go -

"Some of you are just down right stupid, it’s April and you guys are panicking about Mo."

"Oh, please. Don’t be an idiot."

"I come to the comment section and read nonsensical garbage, post after post."

"You should be sterilized immediately."

"TRISHA SHUT UP!"

and the inevitable -

"jen, do you think we can get him banned?"

Need any more examples, I've got plenty! Pat M knows baseball, and for him to be called "stupid" because he made a comment about Mariano's fastball is way, way over the top.

So, if any of these gentlemen, or ladies, feels it is within their rights to call me or some other Yankee fan who happens to disagree with their opinion, "stupid," or "jerk," then I will feel free to call them Yankee Thought Police. Got it?

Oh, and one other thing. The following comment by you will get you whacked by the Thought Police in the future, you can count on it:

Hmmm. She we start worrying about Mo?"

I predict a 4 game sweep for the Yanks.

Angels just aren’t the same without Vlad, Lackey, Escobar, and K-Rod.

As long as Hughes can keep them in the game against Saunders, they’ll be all set.

------------------------------------------------------------

As long as they can control the first four in the lineup (Figgins, Kenrick, Abreu and Hunter) they have a chance. All rookie pitchers starting except for Weaver. First time in years that NYY actually has an advantage.

Chris, I was at that Oakland game when he was surprised like everyone who was at the park that night.....What I'm trying to convey is that his pitches lack movement, as well as velocity....He maybe slipping a notch...He's still the best unless this occurs more often.....

2 years ago when mo served up that dinger to marco scutaro to lose a game in oakland, was everybody screaming from the rooftops that mariano rivera was cooked and beginning to lose it?
...........................

So what if they did! Does that make them any less of a Yankee fan? Does that make their opinion any less valid as yours, with 2 year old hindsight to cover your butt?

I get tired of some of you people acting like you can only be a "true" Yankee fan if you never, ever criticize a player, a coach, a manager, or an owner. And if a Yankee fan dares to make a prediction that doesn't square with the Yankee Thought Police, then he/she is an idiot, stupid, or worse. For what? Disagreeing with another Yankee fans opinion!!!

Look, I've been a Yankee fan longer than most of you have been alive and have seen it all. And if I want to criticize the Yankees, I will criticize the Yankees. If it makes you feel superior to call me a name, then have at it sport. But, you will not stop me from commenting on what I believe is happening. My opinion is no better, nor worse than yours - just different. I thought it was OK to be different.

"the Yankee Thought Police who roam this blog with their night sticks"

You always say this term. What the hell does it mean?? What is a thought police?

Like, is it supposed to be a joke? Is it supposed to be funny? Its so unbelieveably corny and it makes me twitch and gives me heartburn.

I think you can come up with something a little more clever than "The Yankee Thought Police."

I mean, c'mon.

GB, sounds like a fun movie – maybe I’ll rent the DVD; I think I’d like it. There was an old-time basball player in real life named King Kelly (no E).......

Yeah, there was. A HOF catcher outfielder with Chicago in the 1880s-'90s, I believe. He was THE STAR during that time.
