Another journeyman minor league pitcher makes monkey's out if the Yankees. Texaira better start hitting, that's too much to pay for walks. Sick & tired of Girardi's "Things will fix themselves" attitude.

I hope I'm not the first to say this: The Yanks need to fire Girardi & Eiland. They're handling of the pitching staff, especially the bullpen has been awful. Until the team gets a manager who can figure out how to use a pitcher properly, this team will continue to struggle.

Called it. Gardner = Starter = L. Not that they had much of a choice putting him in the lineup. But honestly, I'd've had more confidence in Swish batting one-handed.

For anyone interested, Manny Pacquiao just knocked out Ricky Hatton.

In the SECOND round.

Anybody think it's time for a new pitching coach? Last in the Major Leagues in ERA. Hope it turns around soon.

Loving our chances tomorrow. Philips Seymour Hughes on the mounds, a lineup stuffed with Yankee stars and fan-favorite role players... game on.

Pat M: you know the Yankees are the biggest sucker bet in baseball, -280 is just not good.

Not liking our chances tomorrow. Don't think we'll hit a guy like Saunders. Lefty, ground ball guy, probably no Swisher... tough matchup

Cito has the Blue Jays playing well, they're way overachieving offensively....Pitching depth is not there....Bullpen stopper is an issue in the long run.....It's the Yanks, Boston then Tampa ( who will be hard pressed to win 88 games )

Pat M -- you're correct. Saunders is tough, and a lefty to boot.

I've been watching Joe Saunders since he yo-yo'd up and down with the Angels for the past 4 years.....He is a most effective starter and has been tough on the Yanks.....He is not Sandy Koufax....When the pitching matchups were announced I thought that today would be a cakewalk, as they were a plus $ 280.00 pick ( I lost ) and would be up 3-0 going into Sunday's game....Expect Phil to pitch well tomorrow
