Santana pitches in the NL !!!! Where pitchers resurrect their careers. Get over it !!! He’s pitching no different than what CC did over there last year. Livian Hernandez, Jeff Weaver, Joel Piniero, Brandon Looper are all pitching there for god sake and winning games. Ohelndorff is lighting it up too.
stop being ridiculous. Santana was the best pitcher in the american league too. The nl east is a division with a couple really good offenses(Florida and Philly) and Santana has zero problem with either team. The Phils destroyed C.C in the playoffs last year. Santana and Halladay are clearly the best pitchers in the game.Glad I missed today's Yankee game as it was the same old same old. Would bet Nieman pitches well as he is feeling the footsteps of price and give be as motivated as can be tomorrow.

Although I don't care at all for his announcing ability, best wishes and speedy recovery from his setback after surgery for lung cancer. He's having a rough go with an infection and pneumonia. Make it a good fight, Mr. Remy. Nobody needs to go through that ordeal.

This team needed to turn it on against the Sox, splitting against the Rays then going to Baltimore isn't very encouraging. That's assuming we win tomorrow of course.

Post copied. But I'm not sure it matters whether they win 82 or 89 games.

Giuseppe—winning has nothing to do with baseball cards and everything to do with clutch hitting and a dependable bullpen. Now, if those two things suddenly and surprisingly materialize, then the team has some hope. If not, then your platitudes are empty and the team is what it is. Right now this team has zero margin for error and lots of areas where errors are commonplace.

--------------

Remember this post and come back in two months because this won't be the same team.

Copy those words and put it a little folder somewhere and you'll see what I'm talking about when they start rolling.

That doesn't mean I'm predicting them to win the World Series - but I can assure you they are not this bad.

People just need to be patient and watch what happens.

Every game we sleepwalk through now, is one more game we have to win in the late summer with 0 margin for error.

Last year, we ended up giving away dozens of early games an never recovered. We were mirrored in a cycle of mediocrity until September when the pressure was off and they won some meaningless series.

I can't even pine after Halladay because in reality AJ didn't pitch poorly we just couldn't hit.
