A-Rod is going to be going up against MLB pitchers who already are rolling along into the season. People who are expecting A-Rod to be the savior of the Yankees' season are setting this guy up to fail ... and are setting themselves up for a big disappointment. He's the greatest closer of All-Time and one of the greatest Yankees, but he's a professional athlete being paid $ 15 million to perform THIS year. He's not performing well and if fans want to boo him I have no problem with that at all. I wouldn't do it, but I won't demonize those who do. Everyone gets booed when they don't perform. Mickey Mantle got booed, Don Matitngly got Booed. What's the big deal? Booing is the only way fans can express their frustration and/or disappointment. I'm sure everyone who booed Mo would rather have sat down with him and said, "Mariano we are really counting on you. You are better than this and you have to pitch better than this. I love you, and I support you completely, but this isn't good enough." Fans don't get to do that, so they boo.
