GB7
I fail to see where Cervelli is not very good. He was converted to catcher. 2007, in 88 games he had 24 doubles and a 384 OBP and batted 278, got hurt for a month. People don't hit many HR's in Tampa. In 2008 he got hurt, broken wrist. If he's good defensively where is this that he is not very good. Granted he came from AA but then so did Pena and he hasn't embarassed himself. We know what the Yankees have in Cash, not very much, why not give the kid a chance and if he's not hurting the team, he's developing. HIs forte is supposed to be his game calling.

My boy Sublett is starting to heat up. De La Rosa, 6IP, 0R, 8H, 10Ks. Nice AA debut. He could be a fast riser.

Nick in SF
May 8th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
“The Yankees always win on Rickle’s birthday.”
They’ve won a bunch of times on my actual birthday, probably more than has any other franchise. If it happens again this year, I can guarantee that a lot of us will be even happier than we are today.
(hint: I’m a Libra)
===========

The George Brett Pine Tar game fell on my birthday. Not a happy memory because they reversed the call.

To this day, my brother always sends me a card that reads "Happy Pine Tar Day."

Was at the game down here tonight. Even though it wasn't, the HR felt "historic" and I was glad to be present. CC was fine. Hope we can build on this.

Huge effort by CC.. we have that type of talent that on occasion maybe 10 times a year our starters should just dominate a team.

thanks CC we needed that now everyone relax and let's just play good baseball.

eaton tommorow for baltimore is terrible they should kill him, please...

the pen looks much better when your starters pitch like this.........cerevelli is 23 so he has a ways to go but if he defends well anything else is icing...

"Let’s not be having big “O’s” over Cervelli. He’s never really shown that he could hit, and, though he had a really fine defensive game, he’s just not that special. also, don’t expect Rodriguez to come in a rip everything over the wall."

Cash hasn't really shown that he can hit in the majors either though. Cash is coming off a shoulder injury as well. I think Cash gets the majority of the starts but if one of them gets hot with the bat (not likely), they get the edge.
