Everyone needs to stop calling the yankees mediocre. Mediocre teams lose a lot of games 5-3, 6-2, 4-1. The Yankees lose games 22-4. They blow six run leads. They fall behind 8-0 in the second. Or 12-0 in the first inning. They get picked off third base. They field like little leaguers. Bad little leaguers. They have NO relief pitcher you can put in the game and honestly think you're going to get a scoreless inning out of. Not a single one. They cannot move runners up or hit (or even put the bat on the ball) with RISP to save their miserable lives. They are a HORRIBLE team. They are a disgrace to the uniform and to the NY Yankees franchise. What is even more disgraceful is that none of them seem to care. It is not that early any more. 20 percent of the season has been flushed. And with this bunch of clueless, clutchless clowns who don't even seem to give a sh*t, there doesn't even appear to be any hope it is going to improve. How does Girardi keep his job? How does Eiland keep his job? How does Long keep his job?

I'm not here to make excuses for Rambo. But dumping on him is plain ridiculous. Prince Hughes is the one who bollixed up this game. Not the guy who got twice as many outs and gave up half as many runs. (That said, maybe Ram needs to put his GD glasses back on.)

what's with all the hate for edwar pete?

you know, if maybe hughes was a pitcher, we wouldn't have been down 7-0 by the 2nd.

i like hughes. but he needs more time.

what i don't like is your constant favoritism and attacking of other yankee players.

we don't want to read harsh criticism or sarcastic remarks about the team we like. we know you are not a fan of theirs but don't c r a p on people that are.

yes billy i know he was signed by cleveland, hence the "why didn’t we even look at luis vizcaino" line prior to "he was NEVER as bad as veras and ramirez –"

lets scrap this younger and more athletic bs - at least when it comes to pitchers - lets get arms in here that know what it takes to win and more importantly throw strikes...

One of Hughes's problems is that he works incredibly slowly. I mean the intervals between pitches are interminable. This, to me, indicates fear or a lack of confidence.

It almost getting unbearable to watch, maybe we should bring back Hideki Irabu, or even see if we can get Melido Perez for a spot start while these guys try to figure this out.
And everyone ran Joe Torre out of town.

Maybe nce the muts finally decide to put perez on waivers maybe we can scoup him up.
