Madden was absolutely right in his ” Dear George ” letter yesterday. The seats inside the moat represent greed and elitism. Too bad George has slowed to a crawl. Trost and Levine should be fired.

I was crushed when I attended my first game last week. Besides getting screwed on our plan and seats, I was deeply disappointed at just how evident it is that there is a caste system in place at the new ballfield. I was embarrassed to come home and describe to people the moat. When you see the obstructed view the restaurant brings to the Bleachers it hits you between the eyes where Trost/Levine/Hal Steinbrenner’s priorities are. When you have to wait for the center field screen/scoreboard to cycle before you can read the line score, you know this ballpark wasn’t designed by anyone who knows anything about the game or what real fans are looking for.

The place is an amusement park and not worthy of the name Yankee Stadium. Tear the damn thing down and get it right. Better yet, come to terms with the fact that it’s going to be a long time before luxury seats are any company’s priority and give us back the real Yankee Stadium.

Mike-You’re right, George only dismantled a two time championship team and renovated the old stadium to cram in more seats and charge more money. BBesides, the team just one two of three. It’s early and we’re on our way up, so don’t overreact.
