Don't know if this will post in a timely manner. But both Jeter and Matsui are on the 30 DL.

AJ Burnett isn't a bust - he is what he is - a slightly above average pitcher. His whip is slightly worse this year but there is a reason the guy is a lifetime .500 pitcher with an ERA+ of 110 and WHIP of 1.285. He isn't going to get better just because Cashman overpaid for him.

Don't count on Arod, that fake hip injury was just an attempt to delay the inevitable - that he's going to be Angel Berroa now that he's off the juice.

the only bust I can think of is the Yankee bats. Every year is the same thing. Since 2004, the yankee bats have been the reason for losing games. Every close game, the bats let our pitchers down. Burnette and Sabathia have done their jobs. How many runners have the Yankees left in scoring position this year. All those games could have been won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but anyone calling Burnett a "bust" on May 12th lacks wit.

Pat, you're talking to a huge AJ fan here, so no - obviously I don't think he's a bust. I also said that I was not yet at the point where I'm conceding his contract as a bad one.....I also said that I expect him to get hot and sooner rather than later. Considering that most fans hated the contract anyway, I guess there's no way that AJ could be considered a bust. You'd have to think highly of someone for that to be the case.

doris give it up i dont think anybody is going to back you up on your whole Pena campaign.

for the record, nobody gives a crap about hockey, but last time i checked the rangers made it to the playoffs and took it to 7 games....and nobody cares about the knicks either. NY still has football too

"How anyone can say Burnett is a bust is beyond me?"

--------

he hasn't lived up to expectations over the first 4% of his contract.

he has the other 96% to improve.
