Alas, the Yankees have fallen out of first place. But fear not, there are still 115 games left. Once they move Joba to the bullpen, put Jeter in center and trade Wang, everything will be fine.

(Can I ask why it’s necessary to try and solve every problem every day? Let the season play out a little, let it breathe, let them get their roster together. It’s baseball, not SEC football. Calm down.)

Meanwhile, that will probably be it for the blogging today. Things to do, places to go.

So be here tomorrow at 11 a.m. with your questions. Go to <a href=”I’m in Cleveland with the Yankees. But thanks to internet magic, you can go to our Pro Talk Live page and get your questions answered.
” target=”_blank”>lohud.com/protalklive.

Facing Cliff Lee is going to be tough. Andy has to keep the game close.

Their bullpen has actually done well lately too… Betencourt, Vizcaino, Herges, Wood etc. It is not as bad as it was a few weeks ago

It will be a tough series. CLE is not as bad as their record says they are. They still have plenty of talent

    pete,

i hate to seem selfish, but 8 am is a little rough for us west coasters. Any chance you make the next one at 1 pm your time?

  3. Joe from Long Island

Sure 11 AM – Easy for you to say. Some of us have to deal with the fascist IT police at work.

As for tonight – it will be some combination of the basketball game (who’s playing, Cleveland and Orlando?) and the MLBN game.

It will be interesting to see CC pitch Saturday in Cleveland.

  4. Laura - Win together, strike out alone!

“It will be interesting to see CC pitch Saturday in Cleveland.”

Yes, it will. My guess is that he’ll get booed.

  5. Al from BK

If Hughes and Wang both pitch well Joba should go to the pen. Bruney cannot stay healthy and we have seen what Coke does in a big spot. This pen needs some muscle and Joba would take us from bad bullpen to a formidable one.

  6. Ryan

Hope CC’s return to Cleveland is better than AJ’s was to Toronto

  7. eff it we'll do it live !

    dude, all from BK

    GIVE IT UP.

  8. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

Shouldn’t you be at the game Pete??

  9. 2009 Yankees

Pete: I do NOT know how you can read the same people saying the same stupid things over and over. It must get REAL frustrating.

Laura: CC should be cheered since he was traded to Milwaukee before coming to NY. I don’t believe Cleveland even offered him a contract this offseason. I know they did last Spring that has nothing to do with the Yankees.

  10. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

And hey – Jeter is leading the short stop popularity contest!!

  11. Joe from Long Island

Bob Costas doing the game on MLB, Dodgers and Cubs? Not bad.

  12. GreenBeret7

Brett Marshall thru 2 innings: 2 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 3 strikeouts

Eric Duncan gives Scranton a 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the 2nd inning.

Tampa yanks take a 1-0 lead in the first on 4 walks. The shocker was having Montero sac bunt with one out in the 1st inning.

Austin Jackson is 0-2 with 2 groundouts. 2-0 Scranton

I have always been a supporter of Joba in the rotation but seeing how terrible the pen is without him has changed my mind.

“I have always been a supporter of Joba in the rotation but seeing how terrible the pen is without him has changed my mind.”

At least you’re strong in your convictions.

  17. Joe from Long Island

Al from Bk – But, I think that is faulty logic. If the ‘pen is the problem, definitely, fix the problem. But your solution may not be the best from an organizational point of view (develop your own starting pitching? Look at what top starters are costing.) or what is best for that particular player.

Further, putting Joba in the pen makes the premise that they have no other options. I think it is premature to make that determination. So far, we’ve ruled out Edwar, Albie, and Jose Veras (I hope). My hypothesis is that they’ve not given a legit shot to either Dave Robertson or Mark Melancon, nor has the trade market developed.

If they were losing games left and right because of bullpen blow-ups, then you could make a case for stopping that nonsense here and now. But I don’t think that’s the case. And given what we’ve seen the past couple of years, where we’ve had Darrell Rasner, Tim Redding, Sir Sidney, Dan Geise, Tyler Clippard, Matt DeSalvo, Jeff Karstens,….starting games for us, I think putting Joba’s talents to use as a starter has a lot to be said for it.

  20. GreenBeret7

Brett Marshall thru 3 innings: 3 innings, 2 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 5 strikeouts. Charleston no score with Greenville (Boston low A team.)

Eric Duncan gives Scranton a 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the 2nd inning. Austin Jackson is 0-2 with 2 groundouts. 2-0 Scranton

Tampa Yanks take a 1-0 lead in the first on 4 walks. The shocker was having Montero sac bunt with one out in the 1st inning. Montero’ is now 1-1 with a run scored and an RBI. Tampa now leads 3-1 in the third inning.

DJ Mitchell: 2 innings, 1 hit 1 run (unearned), 1 walk, 3 strikeouts.

  21. Al from BK

The problem is Joba as a starter is mediocre and not very efficient, as a reliever he is arguably the best in baseball.

  22. Stultus Magnus

I want Joba as a starter, but for all of the “B-Jobbers” out there, he’s gonna be in the bullpen eventually as he nears his innings limit. That is, unless they start skipping his starts now and then.

Good thing he’s not on a pitch count limit…

  23. joe

seems like hip injuries are kinda common this year.

AROD, Delgado, and Myers. Any more?

  24. Al from BK

Magnus- I think you’re right down the stretch Joba will be in the pen and I expect the Yanks to get on a serious roll heading into October.

as a reliever he is arguably the best in baseball.

    ====================================

Do we even know how exactly he would be as a reliever right now? This is not the Joba of 2007 anymore.

  26. Joe from Long Island

Al – I disagree that he is mediocre. I think it is too early in his career to make that determination. If your premise were true, then you have a logical case. I just think it’s too early to say that with certainty.

  27. Betsy

If Wang is doing well and returns to the rotation, Phil goes down. I’m Phil’s biggest fan, but that’s just how it is – he’ll get his shot next year. This stint has been very good for Phil in that he’s taken his lumps and still shown quite a bit – I’m very pleased with him. Let him go back to AAA, work on his FB command (still not that consistent with it) and secondary stuff and be ready to help when needed.

Tampa Yanks take a 1-0 lead in the first on 4 walks. The shocker was having Montero sac bunt with one out in the 1st inning. Montero’ is now 1-1 with a run scored and an RBI. Tampa now leads 3-1 in the third inning.

Joba is the 5th starter this year. The plan for him is to throw 180 innings this year. He’s 23. Look up the age 23 seasons for some of the all-time greats-Bob Gibson, Sandy Kofax, and Ron Guidry. 23 year olds struggle as starting pitchers, it’s not an uncommon thing.

This season is about developing Joba as a starting pitcher; put him in the ‘pen now and there will be more Wrights, Pavanos, and Igawas pitching for the Yankees in the near future. You’d be robbing Peter to pay Paul.

That would be really sleazy if they do. He was traded! He took out a full page ad thanking them. I’ll be really ticked if they boo him.

Don’t forget Utley had hip surgery in the offseason. Lowell too.

  39. C

I wonder if all these torn hip labrums have anything to do with steroid use…A-Rod, Delgado, Lowell, and now Myers. It’s strange that this injury is becoming so common all of a sudden.

Okay how many of us are watching the basketball game in hopes of catching a glimpse of our guys?

  49. Doreen

I would wonder what the conditioning routines are of these guys who have hip injuries. Do they do anything different or out of the ordinary? New or innovative?

  50. Al from BK

I just think with Mariano’s end nearing possibly next season, it would be wise to have an heir apparent in Joba. Sure Melancon is nice but is he a closer quality reliever? Not many are.

This is very strange. You never heard of this injury than all of a sudden you have a number of players having it.

    ————————————————————

Players are bigger in the lower half than ever before and these guys explode out of the box at the plate or on the mound. You’ll be seeing a lot more. Pitchers used to have careers ended because of rotator cuff tears. Quite a few. Mel stottlemyre had his career end because of it. Now, it’s not as common as before, but, it’s not always a career killer. Five years from now, it’ll be something else. 6-7 years ago, it was ACLs, bone chips and achilles heel tears.

betsy- I read a few names, I’ll try and find it.

  63. Al from BK

“It’s much easier to find a closer, Al, then it is a top of the rotation starter.”

We have a top of the rotation starter his name is Carsten Charles Sabathia. This team needs a bullpen, all WS teams need a dominant pen and that isn’t Francesser BS its the truth.

  64. pat

I think some of these injuries are picked up now because of advanced diagnostics.

Think how many careers were shortened with an arthritis diagnosis that might have been able to have been extended now.

  65. jennifer

Ccsab As we speak, CC Sabathia is leading a bunch of Yankees teammates – including Joba Chamberlain and Brett Tomko – into the arena for Game 5 of the Cavaliers-Magic series here in rainy, cool Cleveland.

Yeah, he’s tight with LeBron, but CC got the seats on his own. And he knows he’s going to get shown on the JumboTron and get booed, but that’s life post-Cleveland. But it’s amazing how many Ohio connections the Yanks have, from Nick Swisher to media relations man Jason Zillo.

And then there’s Brett Tomko, born in Euclid, whose father actually named the Cavaliers – winning a newspaper contest.

    ==============================

    Atrocious!

  67. vin

Calling Joba a mediocre starter is something that either a troll or a moron would say.

5-2, 3.25 ERA, 9.8 SO/9, less than a hit per inning. Joba has one criticism out there as a starter – he walks too many guys (which impacts his longevity).

The question is, why does he walk 4 guys per 9 IP as a starter and 3 per 9 IP as a reliever? Not really sure of the answer, other than it always seems like when he’s walking guys its because of either a mechanical issue, or he’s not attacking the hitters. Not sure how that would be any different than if he were coming out of the BP.

SJ has summed it up perfectly – teams adjusted to him last year and started laying off his slider because it all too often was out of the strikezone. Hmmm, a pitcher who “struggles” when he can’t throw his out-pitch for strikes? That happens to EVERY pitcher. Once Joba learns to keep his mechanics in check throughout a game he will be on the short-list of best pitchers in baseball. Every pitcher needs to learn how to do that – it improves fastballs and breaking balls – AJ, CC, Wang, and Pettitte have all struggled with their mechanics at different points this year. And they’re all veterans!

If you can’t understand that, then you really should focus on the upcoming football season.

  68. Betsy

    Thanks, Jen!

I still can’t get over the fact that Tomko’s father named the Cavaliers – that’s just very cool.

Interesting 17 game stretch coming up:

    4 at Cle
    3 home vs. Tex
    4 home vs. TB
    3 at Bos
    3 home vs. Mets

I’m thinking 11-6 would be nice.

  71. vin

Let’s not forget that the only reason Mo will be gong to Cooperstown was because he couldn’t cut it as an average starter. Imagine if he could stay healthy enough and start – pitching to a tune of a 4.5 ERA, man things would be different!

  72. Tom in N.J.

The ‘05 white sox? had a dominate ‘pen?

    ‘03 Marlins? ‘04 Red Sox? 2001 D-backs?

Are the Rays going to put David Price in there ‘pen? He’d be great there, I’m sure.

  73. Uncle Ellsworth (Expert texpert choking smokers don't you think the joker laughs at you?)

    From Pete’s Gate Post

“Not much to report since last night. The Yankees have today off and most of the players scattered to their homes. But several of the fellas will be in Cleveland tonight to see the Cavaliers play the Magic. CC Sabathia, Nick Swisher, Phil Hughes and probably a few others will be in the house to witness LeBron.”

  74. S.A.--The sun will come out tomorrow; I'm down with the OPPC

“I saw the Magic in Spring Training, and the Warriors are my team,” Sabathia said. “I went to a lot of Cavs games while I was there. I just like the NBA. Whatever city I’m in, if they’ve got a basketball team, I’m going to show up a lot.”

    ==============================

So I guess we will be seeing him at the Garden a lot later this year? Please help woo your friend LeBron there CC.
Or maybe he’ll go take in a few Nets games?

Not true. The guys aren’t sitting together. CC is sitting next to someone I don’t recognize. Alex and Mo are sitting way on the other side by themselves. They are not in the front row.

  126. no.27

How many games have the Yankees lost this season when leading after 7 innings?

I don’t know the number, but it’s not that many. Even if Joba was in the bullpen and had a 100% success rate, he still wouldn’t be able to pitch in every game that the Yankees have a small lead in.

I think that this team is good enough to get to the playoffs while losing the handful of games that they will lose without Joba in the bullpen. Even if they couldn’t make the playoffs w/o Joba in the pen, I still think his development is more important.

When the playoffs come around, and Joba is near his innings limit, that’s when I would think about putting him in the bullpen (Between CC, AJ, Petitte, Wang, and Hughes you’ve got your 4 starters and your long man). At that point, the Yankees would only need 4 starters and bullpen guys have more pressure on them than they do in the regular season.

Careful what you wish for Pete.you’re wishing away 90% of the discussion here. A big plus of this board is playing the “what if” game. Not because I think I have all the answers or would do a better job as the GM but because it is a fun discussion. Much moreso than “omg did you hear what francesca said today!?”. If anything here gets old it’s that crap.

Are you a “Joba to the bullpen” fan? If so, you may have the following symptoms:

    1) 98-99 MPH FASTBALL FASCINATION: JTTBF fans miss the explosiveness of his hard stuff. As long as Joba is throwing 93-95 (as in, not like his last start…), he has proven he can be just as successful. But JTTB fans want to be entertained, and they miss their “ooh and ahhh” moments. Example: “So what if he strikes out 12 Red Sox in one game? I want that mitt to pop!”

    2) IMPATIENCE: Products of the internet/immediate satisfaction era, JTTB fans want results NOW. Young pitchers are not allowed to struggle and/or learn in NY. Example: “If you can’t be dominant right away, get off my mound, go to a small market team, develop there and we’ll re-sign you when you’re a free agent for a ton of cash during or perhaps even after your peak years. As a result, I will wonder why our payroll is so high.”

    3) SHORT MEMORIES: This is related to #2. JTTB fans don’t want to think about last year, last month, or even last week. Two weeks ago, fans were calling for a Hughes demotion (and lamenting he wasn’t traded alway already). Now, after a couple of solid outings, suddenly he is good enough to be cemented in the rotation? What happens when he has a bad outing again? Example: “Trade the bum for an innings eater (translation: ERA 5+) and an aging outfielder with some pop in his bat!”

And who says Wang is even right yet?

JTTB fans also don’t like to think about last year, when we ran out of starters because of injuries and ineffectiveness. I’m guessing no one had money on the idea that Wang would break his foot by simply RUNNING? If we have 6 good starters ready to go all year, it will be miraculous. You can never have enough starting pitching.

    4) DYNASTY BULLPEN ENVY: JTTB fans miss the Rivera-Wetteland run. Understandable. But Rivera was a failed starter with only 2 pitches that found his calling in relief. JTTB fans like the idea of “shortening the game”, but often forget that someone has to pitch the first 6 innings and hand over a lead. They also forget that during the Nelson-Stanton-Rivera run, Nelson and Stanton were great, but nowhere near Joba’s league. Example: “We already have CC Sabathia as our ace. I’d much rather have a CC and a Mike Stanton than two Sabathias… wait, what did I just say?”

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you may be suffering from an extreme case of JTTB Fandom. Please stay indoors and cut off your internet connection to prevent the spreading pandemic.

Can I ask you guys a question?

How do you think Posada will do when he comes back? His bat is strong but, his behind the plate skills are not what they used to be. I know we need his bat but, I don’t see him being “lights out” behind the plate.

“Calling Joba a mediocre starter is something that either a troll or a moron would say.”

I wholeheartedly agree that Joba is anything but a mediocre starter. He is an exceedingly rare individual, who at his young age has already shown himself capable of pitching at a high level. Obviously he isn’t a perfect pitcher, but in my mind it is reasonable to expect the floor for his performance to be along the lines of A.J. and if all goes well, the sky is the limit for this kid. I mean at 23 he has similar concerns to A.J. at 32–inefficiency, walks and durability. However, Joba regularly shows a willingness to overcome these concerns. Despite his age he has already reigned in his velocity, pitches to contact, and focuses on using all of his pitches. Its exciting to think about how far ahead of the curve Joba already is. Not only does he possess extraordinary talent, but also a willingness to channel that talent into becoming one of the best starters in the league.

I highly doubt CC could have scored 12 seats in the front row together on such short notice… that’s probably why they are spread out.

  223. Betsy

Jen, I saw that yesterday – it was a WOW moment for me. What was AJ thinking? LOL He looked like he was going out for a little Texas line-dancing with the white shirt and studs. I much prefer his usual outfit consisting of a casual t-shirt. Why do I think someone got that for him as a gift and he promised that person he’d wear it on-air one day?

No problem. Do you need help finding Alex? He is on the other side of where CC is sitting, two rows in. He’s wearing a white shirt and a black 1986 Member’s Only jacket. Oh yeah, he’s sitting next to some skinny guy who supposedly is a pretty good pitcher. Marion Rivers, I think? :P

  236. K-Zone

Most of these players are not there to watch the actual game… they are there for publicity and to mingle with their fellow elite. LBJ is very good friends with Jay-Z, Jeter, A-Rod, and CC too so they probably had some good pre-game laughs.

CC is a die hard fan though, so he probably will stay the entire game. I’d be shocked if the other guys do though. I doubt they care about the result of the game lol

  237. jennifer

Didn’t CC rent a suite for the guys? Or is that only for the low budget players like Tomko, Hughes, Swisher etc.?

    Still see Mo

  249. Clint

Mo is there… no sign of Alex or Jay-Z

  250. Doreen

    Okay!

That was a clear shot of ARod & Mo. Hurray. I’ve now had a good night. :)

  251. Trevor

Arod is still in his seat. Juts saw him. Have no idea where Hughes or Swisher are.

  252. Tank

lol Cleveland fans are probably pissed that a bunch of NYC bigshots are at the game like Jay-Z, Rivera, A-Rod, Sabathia etc.

They probably hate Jay-Z the most because he’s the ringleader of the LeBron to NY brigade.

  253. Clint

    Oh nvm, that was Alex

  254. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

Where are the guys that are court side sitting?? Behind a bench, near side??

  255. E-Rod

Did A-Rod get booed when he was introduced?

I’d imagine Jay-Z was showered with boos because of the Lebron/NY connection.

  256. Rockks

Am I the only one who doesn’t even care about the game, but busy scanning the stands for the Yankees players? lol

  257. Laura - Win together, strike out alone!

I can’t see Alex anymore. Mo is standing up blocking my view. LOL!

  258. Joe from Long Island

That’s it, guys, time for bed, to get ready for adnother big day tomorrow of lots more of JTTB nonsense. It takes a lot of strength to deal with it.

  259. Laura - Win together, strike out alone!

Jay Z is still there. He’s got a seat in the front.

  260. Andrew

It’s amazing to me that in the same game that he hit 2 home runs, Montero also laid down a sac bunt. Love it, develop the fundamentals regardless of your 30+ HR power.

  261. Doreen

I finally figured out where CC is and spotted him.

    This is like a fast-action Where’s Waldo?

  262. jennifer

How come I don’t see any of them? UGH

  263. Laura - Win together, strike out alone!

Goodnight Joe! I’m turning in to. I saw some of the guys so I’m happy. :)

  264. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

    base line perhaps?? lol

  265. Kelvin Ace

I’m watching the game and cant see any of them anymore, how the heck do you guys still see’em?

  266. jennifer

I am trying to look past the play on the court and look into the crowd.

  267. gayle

Thats Bullpen coach Mike Harkey behind cc in that photo (black hat)and the red shirt is Jason Zillo

  268. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

I’m not sure where to look lol …. someone give me a hand here

behind magic/cavs bench, middle, near side, base line – how many rows up??

  271. Doreen

    jennifer,

Me, too. And the whole first half I was looking at the wrong side, I think.

  272. RC 16

    Where is Jeter?

He is good friends with LBJ and Jay-Z

  273. jennifer

I wonder if GI Joe went as well.

  274. jennifer

Which side are they on? the side with the mobile sign? or the other side?

  275. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

  276. GOBIGBLUE

“Who does everyone want to win this game??”

    Orlando Magic for sure.

  277. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!!

    woahhhhhhhh with the stripping!!

  278. Nate

I don’t think these guys are staying in the same seats. They’re still there, but are moving around.

Maybe they shift around for safety reasons or something

  279. Yank1

Was that Jason Zillo in that red T-shirt? He’s at this game too apparently.

  280. Nick in SF

Cool, I just saw Damaso Marte in the 3rd row.

  281. GOBIGBLUE

I don’t get why they must play “Sweet Caroline” at games. What does that song have to do with sports? & who is Caroline?

    Someone answer that for me

  282. Joe I

I thought I saw Mike Harkey and Jason Zillo, and they had better seats than Mo and Alex. What’s up with that?

  283. pat

Just saw CC sitting next to Zillo.

  284. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!! GO MAGIC!!

4 for DH is not good for the Magic!!

  285. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!! GO MAGIC!!

  286. Joe I

“Just saw CC sitting next to Zillo.”

That guy had a hat, and CC wasn’t wearing a hat. Plus CC was sitting lower than them.

I don’t understand it either. The Red Sox always play that song in there Park. Really that song creeps me out.

Shows how good LBJ is that he still got this team to win 66 games.

  311. Tank

CC is wearing a black T-shirt with some red design

A-Rod is wearing some crazy black jacket

For the record UCF plays “so you had a bad day” when someone fouls out at a basketball game – HILARIOUS – the entire crowd starts singing it. The first game they did it was a BIG game against Tulsa, we came back from down 17 with 9 minutes to play and as we were getting close they had like 4 guys foul out in 2 minutes and they just kept playing the song. We ended up winning the game, one of the better games I’ve been to

lets straighten this joba thing out once & for all.

nobody is right or wrong.just opinions.

joba can be great as a starter but probably is great as a reliever.

no matter what you do with him he will help the team but i think right now he might help us more in the pen because he does not have to develope in the pen like he does as a starter.

we can survive with him starting but we have to fix the pen some how.

    give melancon another shot.

with hughes.if he can help us he should not be sent down.
if him & wang keep pitching well it makes no sense to send hughes down if he can help us as a starter or in the bullpen.

give wang a start in hughes spot.if wang does well hughes should go to the pen.

He spends his time between starts in the Hyperbaric Chamber.

  403. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!! GO MAGIC!!

That was like after a high school game …. LeBron runs over to all the cool kids lol

  404. DMan

Some guy in Jay-Z’s possee was wearing a Yankees hat lol

  405. Vicki

I’ve read that Melky understands English well, but he feels uncomfortable speaking it. During interviews when someone asks him a question in English, he’ll sometimes respond right away before the translator gets a chance to say the question in Spanish.

“The stands were brimming with athletes and many of them were shown on the overhead scoreboard.

Cheers were loudest for shortstop Jhonny Peralta and pitcher Kerry Wood of the Indians, who played earlier in the day against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Also getting ovations were quarterback Brady Quinn, tackle Joe Thomas and defensive lineman Shaun Rogers of the Browns.

However, there were boos, with the loudest being for pitcher CC Sabathia, a former Indian, and third baseman Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees, and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

The Indians and Yankees begin a four-game series at Jacobs Field today.

Roethlisberger held up two fingers for the camera, an obvious reference to the two Super Bowl titles to which he has led the Steelers.”

Big Ben should have held up three fingers. Cleveland fans know how to read between the lines.

    Beret’s a clown. Don’t worry about it.

  410. JoeT 28 in 10!! MELKY FOR MVP!!!! GO MAGIC!!

I’m not sure why they booed CC…. He was traded from there and they didn’t offer him a contract this offseason. I understand Teix being booed in Baltimore/Boston, but CC was amazing for the Indians for a few years and was then traded, it’s not his fault they can’t afford (or refuse to pay) what he is worth.

  411. DMan

    A-Rod being booed is understandable

Didn’t think CC would get booed though. He did a lot for the city of Cleveland.

  412. Jay

Kind of funny how guys like CC, A-Rod, Big Ben, Jay-Z who are all hated in Cleveland were at the game lol

(Jay-Z is hated because of his connection to LeBron coming to NYC)

I hope having Danillo Gallinari and Stephen Curry is enough to lure LeBron here.

I’m not the idiot that repeated the same post 3 times in 10 minutes about a damned song, and I’m not the idiot that repeated the same thing, word for word from this afternoon, under a different name, about not understanding why Cabrera and Matsui can’t speak English. Everyone knows they do, but prefer to do most interviews with an interpreter, so there is no misunderstanding.

Sabathia, a former Cleveland product, is at the game and he came to NY

LeBron could come to NY too and Jay-Z, the man who will be the most influential in making it happen, is at the game

Big Ben, the QB of the hated Steelers (Browns division rival), is at the game.

Then you have a bunch of Yankees at the game too, led by A-Rod

Cleveland fans must be pissed lol”
ha yeah I thought about that, no Indian players were shown, then Jay Z and all Yankees….Big Ben just topped it off, I’m sure that will be a talk radio topic in Cleveland tommorow ha

    GreenBeret7,

Wow apparently I’m posting crap. I’m just a rookie here. Apparently I don’t know the guidelines. You’ve been on my case, you’ve accused me of being under a different name which I don’t know why some one would do that. I apologized because you seem angry with me & you still manage to make a little comment. Unbelievable. Stick that whatever up your a**. My friend said people were friendly on this site. From S.A.’s link—-

“Yankees GM Brian Cashman told me that Chien Ming Wang is in the bullpen unless Joe Girardi decides to make a change. Cashman says that Wang shouldn’t have a problem because “his contract says baseball player,” not starter and he “is sporting a 20-something ERA,” adding “We didn’t put him in this situation.”

Alan Chang, Wang’s agent, told me, ”[Wang’s] not comfortable with it, but he’s a team player.”

    Ouch. What are they doing?

this kind of arrangement is truly professionional.. If you don’t have a have space for him at present, the thing you have to do is send him back to AAA so he will have a regular rotation as a starter, not putting him in the bullpen and waiting for what is so called ” a chance”, so what is he gonna do ? waiting there and pray someone is gonna get injured or pitch bad huh ? This is not the kind of thing that Wang would do simply because he is a modest man. Not to mention that it’s the Yankees’s management that have caused Wang to start awful this year all due to the fact that post-injury care was wrong. And how he is being treat as an extra in the roster, although Mr. Giradi keeps saying something lousy and lame. Yankees has shown no respect for Wang, what I can see now is a club with great history but with no future. If you believe in Karma, Yanks is gonna pay it back. Go anywhere as soon as you can.

    Pete,
Is there has a baseball culture–”believe in Karma” in America?? If a baseball player politely express his thought cause his general manager uncomfortable and then he will be traded in the near future???!!!!
    If so!!!!!
    Dear Mr Cashman,
Pleaseeeeeeee trade CMW to Red Sox immediately without any delay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your kind will be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GOBIGBLUE,
Just don’t worry about GreenBeret. If his comments offends you, it’s best to either ignore it or start making “your mama” jokes. And he’s not singling you out, he does it to everybody. He got on my case because I said Cano swings at junk.

    He’s just sensitive sometimes.

CC was assisted in getting tickets to the game by a Yankee staffer. In addition to the players, Yankee staff were also invited. CC booked two suites for his “gang”. Surprised to see Alex there and didn’t he look happy. CC is a great guy and has the most infectious smile, including the gap between his teeth. . .
