I had a chance to see Charleston vs. Greenville tonight. Brett Marshall was on the mound and he was very impressive. He was dealing 95+ on the gun and showed the ability to pitch out of trouble. Through 6 innings he had struck out 9 and walked 1, and was pitching a shutout when the rains came in the 7th with CHA at the plate and leading 2-0.

Brett Marshall is 19 years and 2 months old and of course is several years away,, anything can happen but without question he is a legitimate prospect and it will be fun watching his progress.

Eric duncan gives Scranton a 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the 2nd inning.

Tampa yanks take a 1-0 lead in the first on 4 walks. The shocker was having Montero sac bunt with one out in the 1st inning.

a few things Vin.

Pitchers pitched quickly. Batters didn’t step out after each pitch.

Batters didn’t have to wait until “their PA song” was finished before stepping in the box.

Pitching changes weren’t as common. Starters went longer. There wasn’t lefty-righty pitching changes in the middle of innings.

I knew games were shorter then. I didn’t realize the extreme.

Doreen-Odds are C.C. and the 2 suites he bought up for the game will be shown on T.V. at least a few times. Are you kidding? C.C. is back in town, watching the cavs on a day off-oh yes, he will appear on T.V.

I know I have MVP tickets for one of the games, I think Plaza Level for another. Not sure about the third. I remember when you could be among the Yankee fans no matter where you sat back in the 90’s.

I guess I’ll put the b-ball game on – to see if they show the Yankees in attendance. But they probly won’t.

My daughter wants to watch a spelling bee. Might tune in to that to.
