Well, I don't think any of this chemistry talk is relevant. When we are doing well,we have A+++ chemistry, when we are not doing so well, it all becomes ARod's fault (And bad club house culture, blah blah blah)

Winning, is the medicine for anything and everything.

All I will say is this. If you look at the last few teams to win the world series(with the exception of the phillies last year), they have all had crazy antics and acted like a bunch of animals in the clubhouse. maybe it's time for the yanks to be that kind of team.

Some people say they don't believe in chemistry, but everyone seems to believe in psychology as it pertains to baseball. Everyone knows that a player with all the ability in the world can turn into a train wreck when his mindset isn't right. So doesn't it stand to reason that anything that contributes to a positive team-wide mindset probably helps?

I think chemistry is important, and not just for the warm-and-fuzzy off-field reasons. I think a team where the players respect and pull for one another - and where each understands his role in relation to the others - is more likely to succeed in defense, situational hitting, and even pitching. If one guy fails, the next guy wants to pick him up. If one guy does his job, the next guy wants to keep the line moving by doing HIS job. They understand that they're part of a coordinated effort. Sure, I guess you can hate your teammates and still understand that. But is your heart really in it?

Pete,

in the conditions that Roberto Duran is right now, I can safely say, YOU would kick his ass. And thanks for fixing it! :0)

Diva--- I never said that college baseball wasn't providing opportunities. My point was that your claim that they are all getting free room, board, tuition and stipends is way off base. College baseball players are the most exploited student athletes on campus.

The average college baseball player plays 50+ games and gets 1/3 of his schooling paid for. The average football player plays 12 games and gets a full ride.

Know something about a subject before you start mouthing off.
