Hey Pete, I understand second guessing is a part of the game, but as you said last week, don’t suppose you know more about the Yankees than Joe Girardi. If he bunted with Jeter, then so be it. He had his reasons.

I could see that. Almost every name I’ve heard them linked to has been a pitcher. Question there is whether they’ll go college or HS for the arm.

If Tyler’s hitting 96 then that’s just ridiculous. If he has room to fill out and get to 92-95 as a lefty with several plus pitches he’s on his way… A left handed pitcher with command and even a couple of plus secondary offerings will fly through the minors. If he gains some velocity and is throwing 3-4 pitches… that’s something.

McPhail has done an amazing job in Baltimore. That Bedard trade was a franchise changing event for them. Adam Jones is going to be an absolute star. He looks amazing this year. And Chris Tillman is one of the top arms in the minors.

They are going to be very formidable in a couple of seasons. Not too far off. They have a lot of good pitching in the minors. Tyler at 4 would only help… unfortunately.

Nick – they discussed that too. It was laughable. Varitek has caught 4 no-hitters. They said if he catches two more (they brought up the Lester near one last night), he would have to be considered.

Depends should be a NESN advertiser, I swear.

CB, SJ the other day indicated that he heard whispers that Baltimore was grabbing him at # 4 ( ? )…..He has taken it up to 96 several times…He’s very smooth in his delivery with a sound foundation…His has a very mature mental approach when he’s on the mound, opposite of Cole last year….He’ll get to AA ball within 2 years and be very good….Baltimore is a team on the rise since MacPhail took over
