I meant SJ, sorry. Am thinking too hard about AJ pitching tonight.

Here's a question to the group: If football, soccer, basketball, hockey, have a regulation dimension to their respective playing fields - - why doesn't baseball?

AJ44 - Congratulations to you and family for mentoring Tony thru college and his baseball career. I sincerely hope he gets a good draft pick.

Hope the game doesn't get rained out today. I hate rain delays or postponements. Hughes was great yesterday and Coke was pretty good to. I love the way Posada goes to the mound to calm down the pitcher. He did that to Veras last week. The look on Veras' face was of shock. I don't think he heard a word he said.

Weather.com says that it'll only be cloudy with 20% rain during the game time hours. Hopefully they are right.

SJ44 - congratulations to you and your family! Your nephew sounds like a gem - you must be very proud of him. Hope he doesn't fall into the hands of the enemy lol. Wishing him much success in the draft.

Vince,

I live in the Boston area, been here for only a year and a half, so my knowledge isn't as deep as yours, but I think you hit it right on the head.

five iron from fenway

Having lived in Boston for 14 years (after growing up and living in the NY area for 20 years), I can attest to the fact that Boston’s actions are related directly to the inferiority complex they feel towards NY. For Boston it is always about the comparison to NY.
NY as an entity is above Boston and does not feel the need to stoop to their level.

It's the little brother syndrome. It's family hating traditions from 86 years of losing and NYC is big and busy.
