CC has no support.Penny is on 117 pitches and not 1 Yankee can
GET A RUN.They have out hit the RS,AND STILL NOTHING.

I believe AJ and Wang's bad outing has effected the whole team.CC IS ONLY AT 91 PITCHES BOTTOM OF THE 6TH.

i know i'm half a day late, and nobody will probably read this, but i always read these the following day.

so glad we agree on this

"Why not have Gardner steal before the bunt? … "

i'd like to know the point of a speedy pinch runner if you're just going to bunt him over?

why couldn't they just bunt swisher over, if that were the case?

girardi is bunt happy... :|

//I’ll go 0-18 against the RS if it means a WS win.//

You go 0-19 against the best team in in baseball and trust me......you don't deserve to win a World Series.

You don't deserve one now after 0-7!!!!!! and it will be 0-8 after the Red Sox hang CC out to dry.

The Sox are scared of anybody on the Yankees pitching staff!

Nice try!

Green Beret 7 -- Melky was bunting on 1st Pitch. Period. He wasn't faking the bunt. Did you see how far GArdner was down the line? It was a bunt that Melky took the pitch on. So whether or not Gardner could read Okajima's move made no difference -- Girardi was playing bunt all the way. You are grasping at straws trying to find ways to defend the move. And even saying that, part of a base-stealer's job is to figure out a pitcher's move and run. If Gardner can't do that, what good is he? But Melky was bunting, period. Go back and look at it again, if you have the capability to do so.

CB, I totally agree.....no question about it. I still can't believe AJ's performance and I like the guy. This is why I say we have serious issues with the rotation.....AJ is better than he showed last night and he's pitched great against the Sox before. Is he just collapsing under the weight of the Sox/Yankees rivalry because? I guess mechanically he's way out of whack. He may not be a great pitcher, but he's not a bad one - he's been ok at times this year, but he's capable of better. I hope the Yankees can get him straightened out.....that is, if he's willing to figure out what's wrong (which he seemed oddly unwilling to do yesterday). He's not good enough to predict that he's going to go on a major roll - I think he's having a crisis of confidence now and is acting that way to cover up his worries.

AJ had to do better.......Wang had to do better. The thing is, I don't want Phil to be yanked around. First he's in the rotation, now the pen, later maybe the rotation again if Wang is DL'd (or whatever)..,then the pen again. This kid is showing why he's going to be a special pitcher.......make a plan and stick with it.
