Just like an ignorant Yankees fan to say something this retarded. Huff has been in this division hitting for power (if not average) for years now. If you didn’t know who Huff was, you’ve got horse-blinders on to teams other than those in NY. Not that that surprises me, as it corresponds to your organization’s whole mindset.

Couldn’t we all have said “who’s Aubry Huff” a month ago? Krod has to understand that when you play the game like a spoiled child and show up teammates and oponents you are going to have to take the stray comment from old schoolers. Bruney is going to take some heat for it the same as Aubry Huff but this is the league self-policing. Reporters have complained about Krods bush league antics for years and it’s about time a major league (barely) player had the nads to call him out. The people who really should be disgraced by this are players like Jeter, Chipper Jones and Pujols – the elder statesmen of the league for not speaking out earlier in Krods career like so many are speaking out now against Joba.

Francisco Rodriguez is right and Bruney is so wrong!! why would bruney say something like that?? he should be worried about his arm.. not worried about what k-rod is doing on the mound after the game.. bruney is just a liar and will never be the closer for the yankees….he is a liar because he lied about his injured arm.. I don’t get it. What did KRod ever do (to Bruney personally!) to get a comment like that? I guess being on the DL is a little too boring, and Bruney got bored so he opened up and spoke before thinking of it over.

Personally, I don’t like the way KRod celebrates after a successful save either. It gets tiring after a while. But like KRod said, who the f*** is Bruney??? He is a NOBODY who stays on the DL too damn long! He should be pitching and earning the respect through his work like what Mo does! Not to talk to media with a big mouth…

That cracks me up.
This impartial baseball fan (Mariners fan) knows that Frankie Rodriguez is one of the best players in the game, and owns a big old World Series ring – while Bruney is a loser. Period.

I think Bruney’s been reading this blog too much and is starting to believe all the frenzied hype he’s been getting here.

I like the guy and always have. And a big mouth and an over-inflated sense of one’s abilities aren’t necessarily bad traits in a short reliever.

But people here (and in our front office) need to remember that Bruney is not the ultimate answer, unless the ultimate question is “who sucks less than Jose Veras?”

He’s a guy with a live arm who’s pitched well in short spurts between long stays on the DL. He’s also had stetches where he walks the ballpark and tries to throw every pitch through a wall.

I’m dying to see him back, same as everyone else, but that’s more a statement on the other slobs we have out there than it is an endorsement of him.

In the meantime he should rehab more and pontificate less.

ya….pitched great for all 9 innings of his appearances this season.

and he hasn’t pitched one season that’s even remotely comparable to K-Rod’s numbers.

If K-Rod is in Yankee bullpen giving up 2 runs in 30.1 innings, I dont care if he dances like a nutjob for 15 minutes on the mound everytime he gets a save.
