We had a live vide chat on Friday. Check out our ProTalkLive page for a replay.

The LoHud Yankees Blog, giving you ways to kill time at work since 2006.

Kim Jones has updated her blog with the second half of our chat. It’s compelling stuff, trust me. Compelling.

This blog makes my work day go so much faster :D

If there’s a transcript of the video blog that someone could give me a link to, I’d HIGHLY appreciate it!

No, not at all, actually. One good game does not a number 5 hitter make. Honestly, I’m baffled by Girardi’s decision there. Cano’s too streaky and too impatient to be protecting A-Rod. He might have a few good games and actually see more than 6 pitches in a game, but he is by nature too aggressive to be in that spot. I hope JG comes to his senses.

Maybe Joe thinks Cano will become more patient being up there. He did take pitches, IMO, this weekend. Hope to see more of that.

As promised, I did give the Jones blog another try. Still mainly chummy in-jokes about who on the YES staff orders/eats what food! Hard to believe she has any readers at all…

Me too. Cano will have a few games sprinkled in there when he’s patient, maybe even consecutive games. But eventually, he’ll get cold at the plate. Cold meaning not hitting and not taking pitches. Like Goldman says over at Pinstriped Bible, his lows are too low. I wholeheartedly agree with that. Maybe he’ll change and grow into being more stable and consistent at the plate. But I don’t think it will happen at this point.

Posada is just a better, more patient hitter and deserves to be behind A-Rod.

    Hey Ms. Kim
You are my She-ro grl, you get to be up close and personal to the “Lords of the Rings” Jeter, Mo, Jorge and Andy. They’re Yanee Royalty as far as I’m concerned. Tell me Sista, what does my Derek smell like? (laugh), anyway next time you see him advise him that he needs to paton his jump, spin, throw move cuz players are doing it all over the league!
