Me too. Cano will have a few games sprinkled in there when he’s patient, maybe even consecutive games. But eventually, he’ll get cold at the plate. Cold meaning not hitting and not taking pitches. Like Goldman says over at Pinstriped Bible, his lows are too low. I wholeheartedly agree with that. Maybe he’ll change and grow into being more stable and consistent at the plate. But I don’t think it will happen at this point.

Posada is just a better, more patient hitter and deserves to be behind A-Rod.

No, not at all, actually. One good game does not a number 5 hitter make. Honestly, I’m baffled by Girardi’s decision there. Cano’s too streaky and too impatient to be protecting A-Rod. He might have a few good games and actually see more than 6 pitches in a game, but he is by nature too aggressive to be in that spot. I hope JG comes to his senses.
