"I was estatic at the time that they decided to walk Cano to get to Melky."

So was I, I thought Gardenhire had gone insane. Sure Cano doesn't strike out a lot and maybe he wanted a force at every base (did that load the bases? I don't remember), but I still thought it was a bone-headed move.

Wasn't there a pitcher on the mound who gets paid, is talented and works really hard to try and stop the hitters from driving in the run or are only Yankee pitchers expected to do that?

BREAKING:First round pick Tony Sanchez can’t catch up to 80mph fastball and yet can’t appreciate the difficulty of baseball!!

Just kidding, Lara08

What really shocks me more than anything looking at the comments at the end of the game last night is that people were actually surprised that Cano GIDP there. Baseball is a game of averages and numbers and you have to go by what is on the back of a player's baseball card. While Cano is great at starting rallies he has never ever been the one to finish a rally. When we had that walkoff win vs Nathan a little while back I was estatic at the time that they decided to walk Cano to get to Melky. And this is coming from someone whose favorite player on the Yankees has been Cano.

Joey's Poodle -

I beg to differ. I watch the games and keep the game thread open. At times it enhances the experience of the game - usually when they're winning :).

I've become addicted to the game threads. Unfortunately.

I think I'll take up cross-stitching during the games again.

I just happen to be a person who multitasks. Like now. I'm making copies and commenting here and doing laundry. It doesn't preclude my understanding of the game and it doesn't indicate the level of my involvement in watching the game.

We're all wired a bit differently.

Kaseya, he didn't say that no one can appreciate the difficulty. Read. He said his nephew couldn't appreciate it nor can some suicidal whiners.

His words: Seriously, some of you should try it sometime. You will have an entirely different perspective about these guys if you do.

Notice the word "some"
