Oh, and by the way, Sarah, you and your crowd of Posada haters get on this board and tell lies and just make stuff up about our all-star, world-series winning catcher to try and puff up your arguments and conjecture, and yet I am "one of the worst fans" you have ever read for defending him and calling out your lies as what they are?

That's some pretty twisted logic there. I think you need to revisit what it means to be a fan of a team.

Sarah - I guess it's ok for people like you or Evan or whoever to constantly berate Jorge Posada, a great Yankee player for what? 15 years? For you guys to just MAKE STUFF UP about him, like "all the pitchers hate to pitch to him" or "he has a weak arm".... just total lies and garbage. That's ok. But for me to come to his defense and call you guys out on it, that's not ok.

And for the record, up until a couple of days ago, defending Posada on this board was most definitely NOT a majority opinion. There were times on here when I was all alone against five or six of your rabid Posada-haters spewing your venom and lies about Posada.

Sarah, you get over yourself. This is a board for people to voice their OPINIONS. That is fine, and I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is when people, like Evan, and you sometimes, who just make stuff up and then present it on here as fact. Evan says stuff that is simply not true, and just throws it out there like it's God's truth and he knows it. It's no such thing.

You did the same thing, and I called you on it. You can't handle it when you are caught making stuff up and trying to pass it off as fact? Tough. That's life. Maybe you should learn not to do that. Stick to the facts, or call your opinions what they are. Opinions. Nothing more.

I don't know whether you will read this but DUTCH HUGO you are one of the worst fans I have ever read. Who in the heck gives you the right to berate another fan in such a degrading way. It is your style, when you are in a majority in an argument, (whether right or WRONG) to vilify any one who disagrees with you and your Mano-Mano group.

This board is one of the best because of the baseball intelligence of a lot of the posters. The humor, and the Haiku is great also. But you, man, bring the board down with your venom. Get over yourself.

Papelbon is using the Yankees as leverage, with the RS. No matter how much the Yankees are hated,it always comes down to
this. *Everybody wants to be a Yankee.*

Let the record reflect *as of this thread RS have been 8-0* in games played with the Yankees. *Yet their #1 closer would*
*consider coming to their #1 rival.*

From England...

I couldn't follow the game thread in real-time, or listen to the broadcast on mlb.com. But to Pete's point that most of the fans in attendance in Miami were rooting for the Yankees, I attended a Mets-Marlins game three seasons ago where 3/4 of the people there were cheering for the Mets. That would really have to be demoralizing, I would think.

"Yeah, uhh, Evan, somebody did ask Joba about his “problem” with Posada. He blamed himself. I guess you already forgot the game the other night, when Joba “pitched” to Cervelli and had the same problems he had when he threw to Posada? Or did the memory of that just get lost somewhere in the vast, hollow void between your ears?
Do you really think you know better than former catcher Girardi which catcher gives us a better chance to win? What are your credentials? You know more than Andy Pettitte about it? You know more than Mariano Rivera about it? More than Roger Clemens? More than the rest of the team’s players and coaches? Where has CC ever said anything against Posada? Or Joba? The answer is, they haven’t. The stuff you wrote? You pulled it out of your a**. So why don’t you just put it back there and leave it there."

Amen to that.

Evan: Are you insane? They didn’t miss the playoffs because they lacked Posada’s bat. Have you forgotten what our rotation looked like? Sidney Ponson was one of our starters!
The catcher’s biggest responsibility is the pitching staff. Our pitchers don’t seem to like Jorge – neither does our manager. The staff also pitches much better when Posada is not behind the plate. I’m all for DHing him instead of using Matsui’s corpse. But Cervelli is better for the rotation that Jorge. And it’s not even close. Just ask Joba, CC, and AJ."
---------------------------------------

I'm with Green Beret on this one. Evan, you are either clinically brain dead, or just a garden variety imbecile.
So what's your explanation for, say, 2005, when 2/5 of our rotation was comprised of Aaron Small and Shawn Chacon, and we still made the playoffs with Posada as catcher?
You want us to "just ask AJ, CC and Joba..."
