What gets me about these guys is that if you offer a negative critique of the team, you are an idiot, and braindead, and not worthy of posting on the board with them. True, but that cushion was due to the winning streak and many late-inning improbable comebacks. Don’t forget that last year’s squad also had a few winning streaks but those got eaten away by horrific play, just like the streak this year is a distant memory already. And maybe the comebacks are legit and will continue. Or maybe they were just a fluke and plain lucky, in which case they will start falling short at the end of many games, which is happening now.

I’m just looking forward to reading the battle of the optimists vs the pessimists. My gut tells me in a few weeks, we’ll have a pretty good idea how things will be shaking out.
