If I where Brian Cashman I would trade Hideki Matsui and Melky Cabrea and Angel Berroa. Then I would bring up Shelly Duncan and Cody Ransom and Mark Melancon. This frees up the DH spot for Swisher and Posada and gives the "Older Vets" a half days rest once in awhile. Then I would put Brett Gardner in Centerfield and leave him alone and let him play. And last but not least change the batting order letting Jeter continue to lead off with Cano bstting 2nd, Tex and A-Rod 3 and 4 with Johnny Damon batting 5th, Xaviar Nady 6th, Swisher (DH) & 7th, Posada/Cervelli 8th and Gardner 9th.Now we have a better Defense more speed and good depth on the bench with Ransom,Pena,Duncan and Cervelli.Swisher,Damon or Nady could spell Gardner in Center once in awhile and if Gardner gets hurt then bring up Austin Jackson to play Center.

Wow Peter everything you said was correct. I've been saying since April that Shelly Duncan should not only be up here but he should also be getting a ton of AB's. They are really starting to look like a joke with Berroa just sitting there and Duncan rotting away in the minors while leading triple A in HR, RBI, and OPS. I think Girardi has Bipolar disorder. He just makes the dumbest moves and tries to win tomorrow's game before winning today's. Or he tries to win the game before he ties it.

Hughes without the losses is undefeated.

thats the funniest thing ive ever read.

This is what i want.

1) switch Cano with Posada in the lineup. When Canos batting 5th hes hacking at the ball.

2) Matsui's gotta pinch hit. Someone said the yankees always had a veteran pinch hitter, and theyre right. Matsui as a pinch hitter is 8 for 18 with 8 strike outs. So it's hit or miss.

3) Cervelli gotta play. Sorry, i wish Posada could play the backstop still, but im doubting him. You need to play the meatball. Posadas got to DH. Now you got a problem... Damon. You have to play him in left because his arm isnt strong enough for right. Yeah he made a bad play last week, every one of our outfielders is an adventure getting to the ball. Deal with it. His bats too valuable

4) I want someone other than Eiland. He hasnt helped Joba in the rotation, hasnt helped Wang, Kennedy was a bust, hasnt made Igawa transition from AAA to Pinstripes. What has he done that has benefitted the team? He was a bust as a pitcher, and if i were a pitcher i wouldnt take his advice either.

5) You cant get street, he will cost more than Holliday. IMO. Why cant you trade Wang/ Hughes for Ryan Madson?

6) As for Brett Gardner. TRUST ME hes the Yankee i enjoy watching the most. Hes clutch, fast, doesnt try to kill the ball. Plays the game the right way. Play him.

7) if Ransoms healthy bring him up for Berroa.

A big part of the season is going to be how Nady can much Nady can contribute. You gotta play Hughes more in tight situation games. Not when were trailing. I want to see if he can continue his dominance against a 500 team when we got the lead by a run or 2.

Peter: Yes to all these moves!! It is silly to have Berroa and Tomko on the team. They serve no purpose. I would certainly make all these moves at the very least. If they Yanks still continue to struggle, then it's time to start putting together a new outfield. Maybe add a pitcher or two.
